The "Boston Manifesto" is an extremely valuable resource for anyone who wants to understand, in some depth, the truth about the American war in Vietnam. I consider it an honor to have been involved in a minor way in this project.

The issue before the American people this November is not whether Kerry should be 'censured' but whether he ought to be rewarded for his behavior by electing him President of the United States.

I wish every American could read it – but it will make no difference to democrats. They have become – almost traditionally now – the anti-military, anti-war faction. Many democrats consider Hanoi John’s sedition and treason a badge of honor.

Thanks for the ping and the document. Those of us who served in Vietnam and went through the turbulent times of the 60's and 70's remember vividly what an impact the war had on the very fabric of our country.

Vietnam traumatized America and influenced our foreign policy to this very day. Many on the Left, including Kerry, want to limit the use of American military power to internationally approved operations, many of which have nothing to do with our national interests. For them, it is OK to use American military force in Bosnia to stop ethnic cleansing, but it is not OK to oust Saddam from Kuwait to prevent him from controlling more of the world's exportable oil reserves.

The Vietnam generation is now populating many key positions in our society. You can see their influence in the MSM where everything is seen through the prism of Vietnam. Words like quagmire are used to describe American involvment overseas. Policymakers are asked to provide exit strategies. Victory is not an option.

While we have learned all the wrong lessons from Vietnam, our enemies have not. They understand that the way to defeat America is politically, not militarily. They also know that they have willing accomplices in the MSM.
