No! I think he probably got a General Discharge, under Honorable Conditions. That isn't an "Honorable," but means all was not well with his service. Homo's are given this way out as are other undesirables that haven't caused problems.

There are military records that sKerry has released that show his medals as being issued (reissued?) on a day long after his expected date to get out of the Navy. That led to speculation that he got a less than honorable discharge in the end, and that discharge resulted in his medals having been withdrawn. I don't know... haven't studied the intricacies... so have little opinion on this now. No matter, this effort is in the vein of trying to nail down the facts, since sKerry refuses to sign Standard Form 180 and let the people of America see all his records.

It really seems he's been hiding something. I, for one, really wonder what it is, but for me it would not affect my opinion or the way I will work to defeat him. It might well matter to others, though.

I am sure that Karl Rove (my favorite evil genius) has the scoop.

"I'm kind of sitting here, hanging in the breeze, trying to sort this out - waiting for somebody to talk, some document to pop," he said.

Does not sound promising.

Perhaps Kerry couldn't toss his own medals over the WH fence because he didn't have them...

You sure got a bundle of responses, and fast.

The one thing that was erroneous, at least in the way it sounds, and may require clarification, is that a request for "replacement medals" being fulfilled would not have resulted in the particular paperwork that is present in his released documents that show all those medals being reissued at the same time several years out of expectation. There's likely something pretty fishy about that, although, there is an outside chance it may simply be a result of some Navy paperwork snafu or oversight that got corrected at a late date.

October is more than half over. If there is a silver bullet there is no point in delaying another second, I have my doubts in that "gift" some are hoping for.

My first thought was the headline writer needed to be fired. That was an image I did not need.

It would be nice if they got on the stick and we had the October surprise in October; not December.

I agree wholeheartedly. But the election may last until December, if the Dims have their way. Need time to get all Bush's homeless to the polls.

Naval discharge. Sheez. Brings to mind an effluent belly button. Terrible. Did Kerry do this in public?

'Bout frickin' time!

No sh*t!!! I've been saying that I'll never forgive the Bush administration if they don't make sure Kerry's military discharge mess becomes public. I just hope they've not waited too late.

George W. Bush should have at least mentioned that he's disappointed in the media, who for years, gave his military/National Guard records the equivalent of a rectal exam, but hasn't even been interested in finding out why John Kerry won't sign the 180 form to release all of his military records. Even someone without the ability to smell can figure out this is a rotten state of affairs.

This may come as a surprise to some, in 1979-80 I was in the state of Mass going to school. I had a lot of coversations with alot of people, including a guy named John Kerry. I was not political at the time. I can say that I have met both Bush and Kerry in their youth. I had been discharged with a general discharge under honerable conditions. In the conversation I had with a group of people at the time we talked about military service, and our discharges, someone seid at the time if he had got a general discharge things would be easyier for him in the political arena. I beleive this to be John Kerry. 25 years later it is hard to remember. I would be willing to bet everything I have that John Kerry has a undesireable discharge.( the first time) Someone some where knows the truth, and it will come out. I cannot prove it so it is just hearsay at this time. If I could prove it I would yell it frome the house tops. I beleive if John Kerry becomes President, America will become hell on earth. Someone knows, and they must be found and be willing to talk.

Didn't Carter also pardon one of the Puerto Rican nationalists who tried to assassinate Harry Truman? As I recall, the guy killed at least one secret service agent or uniformed guard on the steps of Blair House. If Carter would pardon a murderer, why not pardon Kerry and restore his rank and medals?
