No! I think he probably got a General Discharge, under Honorable Conditions. That isn't an "Honorable," but means all was not well with his service. Homo's are given this way out as are other undesirables that haven't caused problems.

A general discharge is given under honerable conditions. The other reason you may receive a general is for hardship, or medical, or if for some reason you cannot serve your full inlistment time.
