Elizabeth Edwards After Freep Report!!!!

We freeped Elizabeth Edwards Today !!

Elizabeth Edwards came to Grand Junction, CO this afternoon. We didn't know about it until 2:00 pm ( we don't take the local paper) when I saw it on FR.

We closed up the office, and sprang into action. We drove up to the campus of Mesa State College, where she was speaking, and located some fellow Republicans, already standing on the corner.

It rained, and hailed, for about 20 minutes, which is why our signs look kind of soggy.

We had lots of honking, and thumbs up, from drivers-by; and a few flippers.

Later, we walked down to the street near the auditorium, and freeped as the crowd came out. They were mostly OLD people...my nephew calls them "Commie grannies"...

Two highlights: an old old lady, walking by; peered intently at our signs, and then told us she prayed for George Bush every day !!; two young college guys, driving by, hopped out with homemade signs on notebook paper, and joined us.

We were interviewed by the local TV news; and local paper. They especially liked Fire-Breathing Freeper's sign that said, " Hey Edwards, Channel This; Bush-Cheney ".(see photo 3 I think ).

Very Cool! I'm also impressed by your class. The hundreds of fat jokes which seem to be the bulk of the content on any FR thread about Elizabeth Edwards were not reflected in any of your signs. You were on the scene and on message.

It was great! As we walked closer to the mob I made a OSAMA for Edwards/ Kerry Sign. That really ticked them off. We got called War Mongers and lots of good stuff. One of the guys replied "I love you too man!"

It was great fun.

That was a lady who was just really cold. After it rained, and hailed, the wind came up and it was kinda chilly for a while. She was interviewed for the local TV station ( without the hood).
