COMEDY CENTRAL's 'DAILY SHOW' has experienced surprise audience erroision -- despite a publicity push by host Jon Stewart.
Stewart, who announced last week that he plans to support John Kerry, pulled 1,040,000 total viewers for month of September -- down 7% from August, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A jumbo push by media writers and a bestselling book apparently has failed to translate into any audience improvement.
Stewart's an ass. The writing is weak. Just about anybody can do parody and ridicule.
Tucker Carlson is just a Democrat pretending to be a Republican, much like Robert Novak. It's CNN's idea of being "fair and balanced".
Yeh...perfect description...Michael Moore Lite...
LOL LOL LOL
dear G-d, I freaking hate "strangers with candy." it must be the worst thing ever created by humankind. Its looks like it's from Canadian TV or something.
Bill Mahrer is not only an elitist...he is an arrogant heathen scoffing at anything righteous.
Most of the stuff on Comedy Central is retarded IMHO.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!You are right on.
Robert Novak is a democrat pretending to be a republican...
(as is Tucker)...
Boring ....boring...boring
Isn't that the definition of a liberal elitist? ;-)
I surfed into Stewart's show the other day just in time to see him trying to ridicule one of our allies (Poland, I believe) to Rudy G., and Guiliani gently chided him that's it's not right to mock one of our allies when they're making sacrifices, etc.
The joke fizzled and Stewart symbolically whimpered like a whipped puppy with his tail between his legs.
Then I changed the channel.
I tell ya people can act like they have brains and they may even sound like they have brains but I don't think Bill does. He really is just another arrogant mouthpiece for the DNC.
And I have this funny feeling HBO isn't going to take your complaint seriously. I don't have it so I don't get the show.
When did that happen?
The Daily Show was funny for a brief period of time right after 9-11-01.... then the producer of the show Liz what-ever-the-hell-her-name-is and Stewart went full-time into the "Let's Just Get a Leftist Elected and Forget About Funny" business. So, if anyone out there is reading this on behalf of Comedy Central, let me just remind you: "South Park" = FUNNY. "Daily Show" = Lame attempt at socialist version of humor, meaning it isn't funny but at least everyone is equally miserable.
Stewart is what we Polish-Americans would call a "dupek."
no they dont take my complaint seriously.....they dont ever even get it....and they wouldnt care if they did.....most of their programing is Gay stuff, weird stuff and Lib stuff....I only keep it so I can watch The Sopranos next year :)
Now THAT is funny.
"Stewart...pulled 1,040,000 total viewers for month of September -- down 7% from August...."
O.K, I confess. I was ONE of the SEVEN who no longer watch the self-admitted "Butt- Boy for Kerry" Jon Stewart.
Question is : Who were the other six Freepers?
Before he lost his show for his "our troops are cowards" comment I would watch it if there were someone on interesting. Needless to say though I could not watch long he really made it unbearable.
Gay shows? Sheesh what a surprise.
yep I did too....I would watch every now and again when Ann Coulter or such was on just for a hoot....but when he said that and then never apologised just said we didnt get it etc....but the HBO took him BACK IN....I've never watched him at all on there..
I will be using it tomorrow when I deal with my Leftist coworkers on Campus.
I remember reading a magazine profile of the Daily Show, where they admitted that the writers were liberal. When they interviewed Stewart, he made the reporter promise to not reveal what his real politics were. I remember when I read it thinking it's either liberal, far left, or socialist. No surprises here. Stewart IS funny when he skewers the left. Maybe because it is so rarely seen on TV, and there are so many ample, ripe opportunities for doing so.
Boy, Did you ever call that! My 14 year old son (as most all 14 year old sons who are trying to annoy their Dad will) would quote me "news" stories he'd heard on The Daily Show. The only good thing about it is that it might prepare them for the real world of broadcast news as we know it - that all of the news and all of the anchors are silly!
