I surfed into Stewart's show the other day just in time to see him trying to ridicule one of our allies (Poland, I believe) to Rudy G., and Guiliani gently chided him that's it's not right to mock one of our allies when they're making sacrifices, etc.

The joke fizzled and Stewart symbolically whimpered like a whipped puppy with his tail between his legs.

Then I changed the channel.

Stewart is what we Polish-Americans would call a "dupek."

I remember reading a magazine profile of the Daily Show, where they admitted that the writers were liberal. When they interviewed Stewart, he made the reporter promise to not reveal what his real politics were. I remember when I read it thinking it's either liberal, far left, or socialist. No surprises here. Stewart IS funny when he skewers the left. Maybe because it is so rarely seen on TV, and there are so many ample, ripe opportunities for doing so.
