Of course, they were all front facing a centered when I left.

Yes, Fox has definitely gone left.
It is obvious.
Sean Hannity is the only voice of reason...period on Fox

However, this episode does speak to the willingness, or lack thereof, to not engage the "stars" of media in honest rebuttal.

The military isn't for everyone. I have many family members who have served our country proud. I have an uncle who fought on the beaches at Normandy. My grandfather's date on his tombstone in Soldier's Circle has his incorrect birthdate, because he fudged his age to join during WWI. My brother served in the states during Vietnam. He joined, he was not drafted.
I would not say that anyone who chooses not to join the military is a "weak spined ninnie", as you refer to them. John Kerry joined, and I think he is the scum of the earth. He joined to further his future political career. 99 percent of those enlist because of love of country, and their devotion to fighting for our freedoms.
Are you serving right now, or have you? If so, you have my thanks.

One of the other problems is that based on Chris Wallace's comments in the past, I don't think that he thinks much of the swiftboat vets' "allegations" either :-( Now, if only Tony Snow were still hosting the show...

When you email...say it in the title...
They might not open it, but they gotta see that

I disgreetly put "Unfit for Command" front and center in every Walmart, K-Mart, etc. that I visit, as I'm browsing the bookshelves. I take great pleasure in putting it in front of Michael Moore's piece of trash.

I agree that pen and paper are more effective but I also think that if the number of e-mails for one show is much higher than usual, it may get some attention. It was shameful the way Juan was able to go on and on about Mary, the way he kept interrupting Brit, and to call The Swiftboat veterans liars and not be challenged. We can only hope that an increase in volume of e-mails will get some attention. Writing letters will just back them up.

You're right, Wallace and O'Reilly are against the SBVs. I suppose they figured Hannity was giving O'Neill enough "fair and balance".

I caused a little episode at a Barnes and Noble in Columbus, Ohio a few weeks ago.
I was there with my fiance, and he likes to browse the computer books. Knowing their liberal bias, neither of us would buy anything there of course.
As I walked in, I see a huge table with books on display. Obviously there are strategically placed there to get the customers attention as they walk in.
I started perusing the selection, and there were probably 80 percent negative President Bush/Conservative books there on the table. Out of a quick count of about 50 titles, I counted 38 very liberal, anti-Conservative books. The others were just rather apolitical titles.
I noticed an older woman next to me looking at them as well, and kind of shaking her head in disgust. That was my opening. We were right by a row of tables where it looked like a bunch of liberals lounging and looking through books. I said pretty loudly (playing the dumb blond, which comes easy for me), "Wow, what is it with all these anti-President Bush books, this doesn't seem fair?!" The lady agreed, and we got in a conversation. I said, "Well, I think I need to speak to a manager about this".
So I went to the Customer Service desk, and asked for a manager. I then asked her why there were so many disrespectful books to our President at the front of their store. I got the old song and dance..."Well, these are the ones that sell". I replied, "Ummm, oh no, I'm quite familiar with the best seller lists, and these books do not fit into that category. You just lost my business." In response, I got a pregnant pause and then..."Would you like me to give you our Corporate Office phone number?". I said, "Sure, please give me the information (which I already had).
I ran into the elderly lady later, she was then with her hubby. She said, "So did you really talk to the Manager?" I said yes, and gave her a rundown of the runaround I got.
In the big scheme of things, probably didn't mean much, but I sure felt better after I walked out the door.

If you're ever in Atlanta, call me and we'll go shopping together! We could have some real fun! Great story.
I tried to do similar one time right when "Unfit" came out. I already had it, through Amazon early on, but decided to ask at our local Barnes just to see what they said... I'm in a very conservative area, so before I even had the sentence out, the guy behind the counter was explaining why they didn't have it. I just shook my head and explained I didn't have time to wait on the book...I was supposed to take part in a rally and needed it so I could get John's autograph (true). But then the guy pulls out his OWN copy and offers it to me, so I had to buy it.
On the way out of the store my teenage daughter said, "see Mom, that's what you get when you aren't truthful....now you have two books you couldn't really afford."
It worked out though, as now both my girls have a signed copy of the book.
