Is Bush on the way to a 300-plus electoral romp?
Ohio News Now via Free Republic ^ | October 17, 2004

***....Sixteen days before Election Day, the president needs to scrape together at least 48 of the remaining 99 votes from tossup states to win re-election. Kerry needs 53 to stop him.

The AP analyzed poll data, both public and private, and interviewed analysts in key states in the days since the final debate Wednesday. While public and private polls suggested Bush may be gaining ground on Kerry, the consensus was that the race was remarkably close going into the last two full weeks of campaigning.

A surge by either candidate 3 or 4 percentage points in national polls could shift the eight states and the 99 electoral votes to one candidate, putting him on course for a 300-plus electoral romp. ....***

The conjecture above was written yesterday by AP writer Fournier.

This poll came out at noon today - CNNUSATODAYGALLUP: BUSH OVER KERRY BY 8

__________________________________________________________________________

I wonder if Mr. Fournier still believes what he said yesterday about a surge propelling a candidate to an electoral romp or is he too busy writing about all the newpaper endorsements Kerry has gotten today.

Yes EVERYONE needs to get to the polls.

An overwelming vote for Bush will help cram the popular vote vs the electoral vote down their lying throats.

Bush coattails will give us Supreme Court Justices.

When it comes to election day, remember that electoral votes are what counts. All this business about popular votes and registered voters means nothing come election day. I believe we'll all see what we believe right now.

Yes, Newsweak is manipulating the sampling to "yo-yo" the polls. FREEPER dvwjr has been doing extensive analysis on the polls. Link to FREEPER dvwjr's most recent analysis on Newsweak's poll

Everyone needs to go to the polls and get 20 of their friends to the polls to "pull the lever" for Bush. If they are hopeless lefties, then convince them to vote for Nader.

I don't want Bush elected by the electoral college alone, I want our president reelected by the largest numbers to ever vote in an election period.

I certainly hope so! I don't know if I can stand recounts and lawsuits.

A romp will save us from that. And if that doesn't get people to the polls, nothing will.
