Terror alert issued for school bus drivers

Department of Public Safety authorities have put school bus drivers from around the state on a heightened state of alert regarding the possibility of terrorist activity, including those in Payson, Pine and Tonto Basin.

State authorities have asked all school bus drivers to be alert for any possible terrorist activity in the next six weeks.

A Sept. 28 information bulletin from DPS Student Transportation Supervisor Vicki Barnett to PUSD Director of Support Operations Joe Martin, directed bus drivers to "pay particular attention to any unusual activity around school buses; to unusual vehicles; to vehicles repeatedly seen in the vicinity; and, to any vehicles or individuals in unauthorized locations."

They are way ahead of us - they have downloaded the floor plans and security plans of the schools and have the bus routes etc plotted -
so we are hardly giving away secrets.
It's more that we must not hide own head in the sand over their plans. ESPECIALLY since they have already shown the world they have no compunction about butchering children,,,,

Several freepers have suggested that as well. I will check it out tomorrow and will take more decisive action. (it has gotten quite a bit cooler this week and can't imagine all the doors being left open) I should have done that in the first place, it was right after Beslan when I first called.

"Loose Lips Sink Ships" was a motto that went up, I believe, because so many freepers are in the military or belong to military families. They often see planes taking off, know about troop movements and mobilizations beforehand, and things like that. They have to keep such private knowledge to themselves.

We had to be especially careful during the invasion phase of the Iraqi war, and even more careful during the days leading up to the invasion.

Normally there's nothing wrong with posting something that is already in the public domain via the news media. Not unless some newspaper prints something really stupid. And I'm afraid the Arabs are perfectly capable of thinking up such ideas as attacking schools, theaters, malls, dams, bridges, subways, power stations, and similar targets.

maine-iac7, EXCELLENT ideas!!! Parents need to let the school board members know that they will be held PERSONALLY responsible if a school is attacked.

If I had kids in public schools, I'd be contacting the supt every day and asking him what security improvements have been made.

Goodbye to Complacency

Warning.

This will not be a “light” column.

Complacency: A feeling of contentment or self-satisfaction, especially when coupled with an unawareness of danger, trouble, or controversy.

We do not live in complacent times. Hiding our heads in the sand is not an option.

War has been declared on civilized nations. The U.S. is not the only target. It is not just America that the barbarians hate. It is anyone they consider “the Infidels.”

They have been bombing and slaughtering for years all over the globe. We have been the biggest target. But it would seem that as long as the bombs went off in some other land, we could glance away. 9/11 was a wake up call. But do we stay awake?

Trains have been bombed in France and in Spain. Bombs go off in Malaysia and the Philippines. Bombs go off in Saudi Arabia. Germany is not spared the terrorism. Countless attacks have been averted due to the vigilance of security and intelligence agencies here and abroad.

Beslam. Hundreds of children slaughtered. This was a horror that, even after all we have seen, we could not envision. We cannot get our minds around what kind of monsters could commit such atrocities. History is replete with man’s murders and mayhem but where will you find such deliberate targeting of the innocents?

We are facing inhuman madmen. Make no mistake. We know about the madrassahs, the schools where children are systematically taught to hate via mind control methods. But now there’s a new light on what twists these barbaric minds.

Forensics has shown that every one of the 31 some terrorists killed in the Beslan massacre in Russia was on long-term hard drugs. These are drugged up, mindless robots, programmed and sent out to spread unspeakable acts upon our world. These are not people you have negotiations with. These are people who must be stopped – dead.

We know they will slaughter children with no compunction.

We know we have an election coming up that they want to influence. It worked for them in Spain. We know that a terrorist was found in Iraq with a CD upon which was the floor plans and security plans of many schools across this land. We have found other papers detailing information about school buses.

Schools across the country have been given a heads up and told what to watch out for. Schools across the country are having lockdown drills. Parents across the country are keeping an eye on their children’s schools and buses. Some are planning on driving their kids to school themselves, as the election gets closer. They are not being paranoid.

These barbarians do not collect this information just for the fun of it. They have warned that they will hit us soon in a way that will make 9/11 as nothing. They have shown that children are as nothing to them, but they know what our children are to us.

They have shown us they will kill children in great numbers. They have no souls.

They are horrific. But they should be looked at. These children should never be forgotten. These children could be named Mary or Betsey or Danny. Look at these photos. We need to face realty to be aware. It can happen here. They are dedicated to it.

The precious children of Beslan could be ours. Our children are in the crosshairs of these barbarians. We can no longer pretend different. We can’t go about as if no danger lurks on the horizon.

It wouldn't’ be out of reason for all school personnel and all bus drivers have some basic training in what to look out for, the same as the big cities are now doing.

I used to be maintenance supervisor and driver in California for two private schools. We were trained in such awareness, as we carried children of wealthy and/or famous people. I drove, for example, Clint Eastward’s son and Paul Anka’s daughters. Today, our children are in even greater danger. We can’t be complacent thinking they wouldn’t hit here. (Did you know that Mohammad Attar – caught on film in the Portland airport on the way to their infamous rendezvous, had been up in Brunswick, eaten in a restaurant there? They drank beer too. Guess they could break their laws in order to “fit in.” They were probably there to case the base. (Brunswick Naval Air Base.) Ever wonder how they got into Maine in the first place?)

If they can’t get to their prime targets – which we now have on alert – they may turn to softer targets.

It’s human nature not to look ugly things in the face if we don’t have to. But it’s time. We have to. Look at the photos. It’s today’s reality. No more time for complacency.

If the media gave a damn about terrorisim they would put such tough questions to the governemnt, but instead they are too worried about who in the hell lost health insurance, or who Britany Spears is getting to married to this week to bother with such petty issues.
