Prayers Needed For This Family

Chul-Mo Sohn is a single father from Sacramento, CA who was raising his two daughters until the Department of Children and Family services interfered and destroyed his life, as well as the lives of his daughters. Chul-Mo is now on a hunger strike to his death to protest the destruction of his family by this corrupted agency that strip searched and handcuffed his twelve year old daughter for protesting against the removal of her little sister, Yih.

When Chul-Mo intervened to protect his children from physical and sexual abuse, and took custody of the children to remove them to safety, he was arrested and jailed for many months on a charge of kidnapping. His appeal to present extraordinary circumstance was denied and he was not allowed to present the evidence that caused him to go to his children and protect them from the abuse they were suffering from.

Dec. 1st, Rosa Parks Day, we will protest Nation wide for Chul-Mo and thousands of other American families against the tyranny and retaliation of the Department of Children and Family Services. Chul-Mo was a decent, hard working father and provider for his children. He has never abused them or harmed them in any way. He, like hundreds of others involved with DCFS, has lost all hope and is prepared to martyr himself for his children. The suicide rate among families dealing with this agency is appalling, and the obstructions the families face are often impossible for any human to overcome.

No agency in the United States should be unaccountable, or police itself. There should be no immunity for willful wrongdoing (malfeasance) and the Department of Children and Family Services is the only agency that has this unchecked power. Families have the Inherent right to remain united whenever it is safe for the children to do so, and in the case of Chul-Mo it is not only safe, it is loving and nurturing. These children and their father have been robbed of each others company and comfort, and it is time to re-unite this family before another tragedy occurs.

When the State removes a child it is like a death sentence for the entire family. It is a living death for those who remain, and a literal death for those who cannot bear the horror of never seeing a beloved child again-for no reason other than the malicious discretion of an agency that is funded by removing children, not re-uniting them with their families as mandated by law.

The death of Chul-Mo will be a needless tragedy, and a tragedy his children will have to live with the rest of their lives. The true criminals hide behind their immunity and continue to destroy families as they are well paid to do. It is their job, and they relish in it. We must stop this abomination or our family trees will soon be stumps.. in fact, they already are.

Please, help my children.
I have raised my two daughters since two days old till 6 ½ and 13 ½ years old, all without their mom.
We had so little in terms of material goods, but we were the happiest family in the world.
Both of my children were born and raised mostly in NY, PA and NJ.
We would wake up together. We would eat together. We would watch Pokemon together. We would listen to Mozart, Beethoven. Liszt, AC/DC, Boston, ABBA,…, together. We would walk hours together. We would watch sunsets together. We would exercise together. We would visit uncle Steve together. We would read together. We would play games together. We would study together. We would laugh together. We would cry together.
My life last 14 years was all about my children and nothing else. I provided very secure, healthy and happy environment for my children.

One day, in July of 2002, the mother of my children called me up and told us that she would provide us a place with all bills paid. Despite the fact that my children and relatives were against our coming to Sacramento, California, we did.
Within 24 hours of arrival, I saw my wife beating up the children. During the next few weeks, my daughter was molested by my ex-wife’s boyfriend, Val T. Hoang, I’d never met until weeks later.
My daughter’s, Wen’s protest led to her mom’s vicious attack, resulted in receiving bloody nose from her mom.
While Wen was calling 911 for help, the mom pulled the phone plug. However, the Sacramento Police had arrived to help and had the mom arrested.

When Sacramento Family Court was involved, things were turned around by the court employees and appointed people.
When my children and I complained about the creative report from the court mediator, Dana Sarmiento, things became very ugly.
When the judge appointed a child advocate, Judith K. Winn, for the children, the terror was increasing, ruining our loving family.
According to Bijili Abbey, Judith’s chosen supervisor for the supervised visitation between my ex-wife and Yih, Judith had the authority to do anything she wanted regarding my children.
To us, Judith K. Winn was a court appointed child abuser. That was what she precisely was. When my children told her that we did not like what the family court people were doing to us, which included herself, she yelled and screamed at the children.
Afterward, Judith told me my children were rude and out of control. She insisted that we were not to question her authority.
I thought that Judith was rude and out of control.

Judith arranged my ex-wife’s boyfriend, Val T. Hoang, to come to Wen’s college to stalk her.
(Wen was taking Calculus II and Computer Science at the college near home. Wen received the highest math placement test score ever, 60 out of 60, the perfect score, when she was 12.)
As results, my children were crying in HORROR, begging me to move. We were all scared and terrified.
Wen’s final exams were due in 4 weeks. Judith knew it and had to do something real quick to disturb it.
As for me, the safety of my children was always the first concern.
And it will always be that way for me for the rest of my life.

I had never had one violation of any sort in my entire life. Not even one traffic violation ticket. Not even one outstanding parking violation ticket.
Not even one late payment until 9-11-03, the day I was arrested for kidnapping my own children that I’d raised all by myself.
I am a proud law biding citizen.
I have done nothing wrong other than protecting my children. It cannot be against the law. It is my God given duty to protect my children the best I can.

My baby, my Yih was forced away from her home while crying and shaken in terror. That night, she was forced to a foster home in California where it was 3200 miles away from her home totally against her will. It was Judith’s wish.
The family court of Sacramento County supposedly gave the physical custody to my ex-wife who had abandoned and abused her. ( My ex-wife left Yih when she was few days old.)
However, knowing that the mom was violent and unstable, Yih was sent to a foster home. It was Judith’s wish.
For the first time in 75 days in jail, I met my Yih for 15 minutes in jail. She was no longer a happy nor playful girl that she was all her life until 9-11-03.
That 15 minutes is still haunting me. She was never like that before. NEVER! Not once in her life! I was not even allowed to give her a hug that she was so used to all her life. All we could do was sobbing.
My poor baby was never that sad. NEVER!

Wen fought her best to keep away from California.
In September, shortly after I was arrested, Wen was arrested and placed in jail by the request of Sacramento County Family Court. Wen fought so hard while I was in jail to keep her family together. Wen wanted to save her baby sister that she loved so much.
That Great Judge of Fairfax County , Virginia gave the custody to her aunt in NYC.
Now, the Sacramento County Family Court workers and my ex-wife are trying to bring Wen to the Sacramento County for her to be placed in a foster home in California against her will!

I have been incarcerated for 101 days. For those who have committed similar acts are not even charged with a crime.
According to Lesa Knox, the social worker, the only reason why Yih was forced to the foster home away from her home was because I was in jail.
She did not seem to remember why I was in jail to begin with!
Or how I got here!
BECAUSE the creatures of Sacramento County Family Court insisted that I kidnapped my own children I’d raised all by myself!

I am so sad for my children who are being punished by the Sacramento County Family Court workers unjustly.
I cannot understand the reckless behavior of the Sacramento County Family Court workers.
The Sacramento County Family Court wants more than the destruction of our family. It wants the complete destruction of my children.

Our children are the future of this great nation that I love with all my heart.
Every child must be protected and nurtured.
That child must be brought up in a family full of love, trust, care and loyalty. There you will find happy, healthy, and productive children.
It is the only way to insure the Freedom & Security of everyone of us in this great nation.

Please, help my children.
We must be together and stay together as we have always been until 9-11-03.
Few weeks ago, my children had their first Thanksgiving apart from each others. In few days, we will have our very first Christmas away from each others.
Those in Family Court of Sacramento County figured out that how much we loved each others as family.
Breaking us apart would be the worst punishment for us, they figured.
When I close my eyes to rest, my children always show up with ever so sad faces, crying for help.
Can you imagine 101 restless days and nights in jail worrying about your children? Could you think of more severe punishment toward a very loving, caring, and close family than this? According to the Sacramento County Family Court workers, we were not to question their authority nor credibility.

Please, help us by letting others know what has happened to our loving family.
In 1979, I join the US Air Force to protect our constitutions.
I wonder whatever has happened to our constitutional rights.

How do I protect my children?
They were used to safe, happy, and healthy environments for all their lives until 9-11-03, the day I was arrested and placed in jail for kidnapping my own children that I’d raised all by myself since birth!
How do we bring back our family as was before?
How can something like this happen?

This is the whole problem. There are no charges, except that he got fed up and took his kids back to the East Coast. The children's mother had problems, and that caused the introduction of the Social Workers.

I am the director of Colorado Family Rights Assn. We are a spur of the National Org, American Family Rights Assn. This organization, a loose group of about 100,000 parents and professionals who are sickened by the out of control Child Protection Agencies, has taken on the Chul Mo Sohn case and we are mounting letter writing campaigns and support rallies for his children's release.

Our associate in Sacramento, Bill Tower, has been in touch with Chul Mo privately, Chul Mo and Wen visited he and his wife and children at their home a few nights ago. Chul Mo is now out of jail, finally bonded, under an outrageous amount of bond which I cannot remember at the moment. Bill says Wen is very engaging, very "old for her age" which is only 14. She is a student at the university, bright, articulate and ANGRY at the things which have been done to her family and especially her baby sister. It is my understanding that Chul did nothing to warrant placement of the kids in a foster home originally. His only crime was being broke. Since he had not established himself financially yet, and his ex wife was abusive, the children were placed in foster care to provide safety for them while the case could be sorted out. When this "Judith" person was injected, and began her venomous handling, and when Wen and Chul Mo objected and resisted some of her exalted authority, the real trouble began.

Since technically, the children had been placed as wards of the State of CA, when Chul took them and went to VA, he violated a court order, placing him in contempt. The final claim against him is kidnapping, of course because it is a much more serious charge. I wish that I could outline for you here, the thousands and thousands of cases similar to this that we of AFRA read and view the records of every day. Most of the members of AFRA are Family Rights Advocates. Since the average parent has no idea, when someone makes an allegation against them, most likely anonymously, of what their rights are, or what to expect, they are often already far down the road of bad legal decisions by the time they contact us. Still, the money driven agenda of the Child Protection Agencies of the country have long since abandoned the protection of children, and are driven by federal funding streams, draining your Social Security Fund daily in a HUGE way. This crescendo has been building for over thirty years, since Mondale got his CAPTA passed in 1974. Every year, some bleeding heart zealot gets some new bandaid added to that Act to "fix" it. And every year, the mass of bureaucratic red tape and out of control power gets heavier against the sanctity of a family.

There is a form letter on the AFRA site for use in a letter campaign for Chul Mo. On Dec 1, groups of family rights activists all over the country will be going to local DHS offices and spending the day handing out flyers and information to try to bring public awareness to the plight of ESPECIALLY low income families. PLEASE throw your hat in the ring for the day. The help of FREEPERS will be absolutely essential to the success of this effort. Read the AFRA website, see the proof of our position, and then PLEASE come out on Dec 1 and help us open the eyes of those who still believe that they are paying taxes to protect kids. Thanks for helping to keep this one in the forefront. Although Chul Mo's story IS one of the "bad ones", there are tens of thousands of them all over the country. A couple hundred people traveled from all over to testify to a congressional hearing in CA in March. They provided the documents and evidence to prove the stories, spoke to the news and crowd and congressmen, and waited for some sort of response. That was seven months ago, and I know of one case that was possibly effected by that effort.

People ... human nature,is a sort of pathetic thing. They reject the entire idea, many who have no idea arguing that social workers are benevolent souls seeking only to help beaten, raped and starved kids. I think if the public admits that this problem exists,on the scale that it is happening, they don't feel safe. They feel helpless and vulnerable. IT is easier to pretend to themselves that people who lose their kids deserved it, and that if you didn't do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. If they truly faced the TRUTH of the stories, they would likely quit their jobs, pull the kids out of school, and stand an armed guard. That is seriously the level of danger this problem presents. And it gets worse every day, and kids are suffering in horrible conditions in foster homes, because the general public refuses to accept the facts, and cannot seem to be motivated to take a stand against it. Sad I think, that of all the adults in the country, only a handfull, maybe 200,000 are willing to stand up and fight to protect our kids. I think more and more about the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire and wonder how long we have left.
