Heads up Modesto!!!!!!!!
"VICTORY BUS TOUR" DUE IN MODESTO: The Stanislaus County Republican Party headquarters announced that Rep. Darrell Issa will bring his "Victory Bus Tour" to Modesto on Tuesday. Issa, a congressman from the San Diego area, is scheduled to lead a rally at 11:45 a.m. at the Stanislaus GOP headquarters in the Eichel Real Estate Building, 118 W. Orangeburg Ave., just west of McHenry Avenue. "Join Congressman Issa in supporting our president and other local Republican candidates," a press release states. People planning to attend are asked to call the headquarters at 571-8118. Issa financed the petition drive that led to Gov. Davis' recall last year, and the congressman was a candidate to replace Davis. But Issa withdrew from the race in August 2003, two months before the recall vote. He is now running for a third consecutive term in Congress."
Modesto is the scene of a white-hot race between state Senator Michael Machado and Stockton Mayor Gary Podesto. How does that race look right now?
Land of American Graffitti. Too bad local boy George Lucas is a flaming lefty.
yes, but I believe Lucas is now residing in Marin County.
