The group attacking U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave in television ads is now on the hunt for Rep. Tom Tancredo - with a radio ad that began airing Wednesday.
In the ad, a woman is typing a letter to Tancredo. Then the narrator Says:
"My husband and I work hard to teach our children the values of acceptance and the evils of racism, which is why we're so disappointed in your conduct.
"You make a career of trying to punish immigrant workers, then turn around and use cheap, illegal labor to remodel your home. It's insulting to us all."
The reference to illegal labor is based on a 2002 allegation that Tancredo's remodeling contractor hired illegal immigrants to complete work on Tancredo's Home.
The contractor denied the allegation.
The woman then gives her name and notes she is from Greenwood Village.
Tancredo's campaign manager, Dave Pearson, said there are several problems with the ad. For starters, he said, there is no such woman in Greenwood Village and no active voter registration for anyone under that name.
Beyond that, he said, Tancredo is not a racist.
"The congressman is in favor of strengthening our borders and eliminating illegal immigration," Pearson said. "There is nothing racist or biased in that."

Has he turned himself into the INS yet? Funny how Tancrado wants to punish other's that hire illegals, yet he seems to get a pass.
useless.
Tancredo? He's worse than that.
What evidence do you have that Tancredo hired illegals?
Do you condone and support aliens breaking into this country and remaining here in violation of US law?
Beats me. I didn't say anything about her. I was referring to Rove and the RNC picking carpet bagging Alan Keyes for Indiana's Senate race so long as he wouldn't oppose Bushs amnesty-lite proposal over other home-grown and better known possible Republican candidates who (possibly) had a better chance of unseating Obama and who wouldn't support Bushs socialized immigration labor plans to put more Americans out of work.
From what I'v read and heard Rove and the RNC was / is willing to lose that U.S. Senate race just to make sure another Tancredo type Republican doesn't win.
I know you didn't say anything about her directly, but you said this was Rove's doing, and therefore, Musgrave would have to be a target of Rove as well. So why do you think Rove is after Musgrave?
You must not have read what I wrote. Go back and re-read my reponse. You wouldn't be trying to change the subject would you?
Oh, but I did. It appears you are the one trying to change the subject now that I've got your little conspiracy theory all in a bind and exposed your silliness for what it is.
Do as Tancredo says, not as he does.
For someone claiming to not be racist, this statement of his does not help him one bit.
Exactly the opposite.
Do either of you have a source for that quote? I couldn't find it on Google. In any case I'm not sure how an admonition not to single out hispanic waitresses would be problematic.
Now who's wearing the tinfoil hat here sport?!. I wrote about the U.S. Senate race in Indiana, yet you refuse to address that and instead started talking about Rep. Musgrave, an attempt to shift the focus in the direction you want to take the subject. So typical of trolls. I wasn't the one trying to change the original subject! So why don't you go and try your little disruptive trolling tactics on some other thread unless you're willing to stay on topic. You act and sound just like some of the other Bush campaign hacks we have trolling these threads of late. Sheesh, not even a good try. You might want to go back to the WH basement and have Rove update your new talking points for you before coming back here.
