Cook was on Hardball and said he saw enough of an uptick in polling last night favoring Bush that it caught his attention. He said he wanted to see what happens in the next couple of days to see what to make of it...

I loved hearing it. What was Andrea Mitchell saying about Bush pulling out of PA, isn't that bull. Are the rats trying to say he is, because they want him to because it is so close?

Are you talking about the 4 point Bush lead that Zogby reported this morning, or are they saying something else?

I thought today's "Bush will bring the draft back!" attack from Kerry kind of odd ... Maybe this explains why he did it...
I had to roll my eyes. I saw the very end of this segment (missed the numbers part so am glad to see it) but I did hear Cook say he had a gut reaction against what Kerry did in the debate re the Cheney issue but then he declared "the Republicans are trying to have it both ways".
Whatever, the initial gut reaction is the telling part there. Most people will go with their guts, like the list of other pivotal debate moments throughout history.

He talked mostly about the battleground states and how tight the race is in those states...
Florida was one of the states that he said was tied.
Wisconsin and Ohio were barely leaning Bush...
Pennsylvania and a couple of others were barely leaning Kerry...
They know the Cheney comment has hurt them big time.

I just clicked your link and see they were heralding his imminent appearance with much lauding of him "knowing his stuff". OK, gas mask on and I'm going back in to see the part where they get "the news".

I wonder if Bush missed the opportunity to give Kerry the smackdown in a rebuttal... like Lloyd Bentsen, in response to Quayle comparing his level of political experience with that of JFK...
