Voter Fraud: I Don't Want To Be Up All Night Again!

Posted on 10/15/2004 4:25:00 PM PDT by pctech

I was listening to Fox News during Brit Hume's show (he wasn't there for some reason). They were talking about how there could be a 25% chance the election won't be decided for almost a month or even longer if the election is a real tight one and the lawsuits start flying because of "alleged" voter fraud.

All I got to say is that I don't want to be up night again like I was during the last presidential election. I assume you folks don't want to be either. I now find myself wanting to avoid the news just so I won't continually hear this kind of talk but yet it's something that is a real threat.

Besides a stiff bourbon (I don't drink alc-e-holic beverages) what are we going to do this year to make it through what could possibly be the worst election night in national history?

If Kerry doesn't win and he won't, the dems will by crying voter fraud till the cows comes home.

Yes, they appealed it...but who knows how that will end up. It is the same county that has more voters than the census says people are living there. the whole purpose of voting at a specific precinct is so the workers can see if someone has voted twice, etc. When you allow someone to go to different precincts, they can take different absentee ballots (of dead union guys) and vote it at eaching polling place.

There is no voter disenfranchisement, remember that, only voter fraud.... If anyone, from any party, race, creed, religion or planet, wanted to vote, they could have already done so with an absentee vote. On election day you will see the Dems read from their playbook and charge voter fraud! You may even see the union thugs storm certain precincts, although that may be a violation of federal law.

Gee petti, what happened to your wife last election night might happen to the entire nation this election night. Except the outcome would not be a joyful event.

I took the whole next day off after the 2000 fiasco. I was so sick from worry that I couldn't eat for days afterwards.

While I watched FOX tonight...a million thoughts went through my mind..but I think the MOST upsetting to me is the possibility the Dems will attempt to supress the military vote.

As a babyboomer I can honestly say although we've been through some rough times- this is the first time I've truly feared for the state of our republic.

I was so freaked out during those weeks I went out and bought a brand new car. A Honda, which still runs as good as when I bought it.

Why can't the Republican lawyers use the democrats 66 page voter fraud paper as proof that they are only making it up - that is, if results are challenged.

All the more reason to pray for a landslide. The country doesn't need another 5 week election teetering on the RAT fraud vote.

Then if it's under appeal I would assume that the previous ruling would stand until the appeal was heard, is that right?

I just can't believe that the rats have no regard for the law. If Bush wins this election I'm gonna start a letter writing campaign for voting reform.

You nail it. I think the Democratic party is an undemocratic group of thugs. They are extremists and they will do anything to acheive their ends. It is really scary.

As an optimist, let me mention (as I've done before) one of the few benefits of a long election night. If things are going well for the good guys as they did in 1994, switch over to CBS and watch Rather. The fear and terror in his eyes is worth it. The lies and misrepresentaions that he presents as "news" becomes frantic; it is wonderful. Click back to FOX regularly so you know the truth but check CBS for the fantasy! And, the broader the good guys' win the more fun it is!

The 2000 election was both a nightmare and exciting at the same time. Every night of that drawn out fiasco I would get home from work start hitting the Cable News Channels, break out the scotch and settle in for a long night. I really never want to go through that again and neither I think does the country. But given the Democrats strategy of cheating every way that they can I'm ready.
I volunteered to be a Republican Poll watcher on election day and I am sure I will see a lot crap take place. Nothing like seeing it closeup, hope I can keep it under control.

That's very true, perhaps we should start a thread getting volunteers to pray until election day. Not to say everyone has to pray all day, but get people to sign up for 30-60 minute increments so we keep a "concert" of prayer going at all times until November 3rd.

What do you think?

I stayed up all night too in 2000. I staged a One man Rally for Bush in Redmond, WA on Avondale and the 520. More Boos then Honks(Bummer) Then I got home and started having a few beers, Now We have our own Biz, but we get up at 3am,cause we open at 4:30AM. I stopped drinking at 2 AM, made my wife drive and carried out my day. I was lucky because not everybody can do that. Worst hangover ever, due to the beer and the Excitement and Depression at the time, Crazy Nuts!!! I may take the day off on the 3rd.

This is the twisted legacy of Al Gore, who, unlike Nixon and Ford, put himself before the country. I would prefer that Bush lose and patriotically refuse to contest the election that he continue this monstrous legacy and win. For the sake of the country, this spiral down to the level of a Banana Republic must stop.

I remember the last go around when they were launching post election fund raisers to "Not let the other side steal the election" Those efforts raised tens of millions in cash. You don't think that kind of money gets ignored do you? Think of the cottage industry that was born in post election battle. The networks were awash in that financial motivation as well. People were watching MSNBC instead of Monday Night Football and Soprano's.

You will never again see a presidential election in America that does not go into election day as an official draw. This election has been sculpted that way for months now. It is a media work of art. It's really a black velvet painting of dogs playing poker worth $20. It's going to be displayed as something else and worth about an additional $300 million in advertising during the holiday season, allowing networks to charge prices a lot higher than dogs playing poker!

I think it's being done.

Do either of you have the link to that prayer commitment thread?

My gut feeling (keep in mind my gut is currently filled with 3 margaritas and 4 tacos) is Bush will win about 52 percent of the popular vote and easily win the needed electoral votes.

I stayed up late in 2000 and vividly remember seeing Bush's lead in Florida of 60,000 votes evaporate in about an hour. The precincts that reported in that hour were going Gore at a very high percentage (>80%). It had to be vote fraud and they did it in the middle of the night when very few people were awake to see it.
