European powers will offer Iran a deal next week in a final bid to persuade Iran to curtail its nuclear programs before the issue is referred to the UN Security Council, the United States has said.
The announcement on Friday followed a senior meeting of the Group of Eight industrial powers in Washington where the UK, France and Germany detailed a package of 'carrots and sticks' meant to persuade Iran to halt all uranium enrichment activities that could enable it to build a bomb in Iran.
The offer includes a committment to resume stalled talks on an EU-Iran trade agreement and guarantee Iran access to nuclear fuel from Russia, diplomats said.
If Iran rejects the deal, the G8 countries have agreed that the International Atomic Energy Agency Board, when it meets in Vienna on November 25, should send the Iranian case to the UN Security Council, a State Department official, who asked not to be named, said.
Iran says its nuclear programs are peaceful and only to generate power.

No the answer is absolutely no... We must never allow Iran to posses the capability to make nuke weapons.. they will make them for sure.. I don't care about any treaties or rules... If Russia gives them the fuel we will live to regret it... Its time for Israel to take some action to make this issue a moot point... I think they need to take out the power plant now...

These Euro a$$holes are going to get us into another war, just liek they forced us to fight in Iraq by refusing to take a hard line against Saddam.
What we need is a CIA-backed assassination of the Mullahs, to coincide with a popular uprsising against the government. Otherwise, we're in for a nuclear confrontation, you can bet on it.
Or Europe will do what? Put the Iranians on double secret probation! Oh, I see they're referring it to the UN so that the United States will eventually have to deal with it. Thanks Euro-weenies.

with oil already sky high, and iran presumably already having a few bombs, there isn't a LOT the west can do at this point wihtout risking global economic meltdown and nuclear explosions.

Yes they did - they promised Hitler that they would line the Champs Elysees with trees so Hitler's troops could march in the shade.
Iran would be well advised to pretend to accept this deal.
