Did anybody listen to Rush's conversation with a Mrs. Dorothy Asdale.
The gist of the story is that Mrs. Asdale was quoted in a Will Lester AP column as being swayed by kerry, when her only news "information" was Rush Limbaugh because that was the only radio station that comes in clear in Yuma, AZ.
Well Ms. Asdale was contacted by Rush and she appeared on the program.
There were some niceities and then Ms. Asdale explained why she was voting for kerry, it was because of immigration.
She admitted that kerry didn't answer the question about immigration, but since Bush did answer the question, she was voting against Bush.
Ms. Asdale said she has been registered Republican, democrat, and now is independent.
She also admitted that she voted twice for Clinton, and for Gore.
Can anybody say setup for the AP.
Rush handled her just perfect. He let her talk and we found out:
she grew up in San Francisco
Evidently is rich - talked about traveling all over
voted against Bush I b/c he looked at his watch during the debate
voted 2x's for Clinton
voted for Gore
undecided until the last question of the last debate
Kerry looks presidental
Bush is from a border state, he should know what it is like to live here
gives Kerry a pass on not answering the question b/c he is from Mass.. so he doesn't understand the problems of living 8 miles from the border.
She was 83 years old and talked about her high school being Alameda High. Am I correct in thinking at that time in history that it was probably a fluent area, maybe still is, not sure.
It was just great. He handled that just perfect. No one can say, he beat up on an old lady. LOL
Probably both-they are not mutually exclusive...
"I listen to Rush Limbaugh when I'm in my car," she said. "We can only get one radio station really clear around here. It's so negative. I never heard a good thing about Kerry."
She claims to have never seen JFK before the last debate and her only source of information was Rush Limbaugh on the car radio. Does she live in her car? Does she not own a tv? How was she able to watch the debate on Tuesday?
She voted for Clinton the first time because Bush Sr. looked at his watch during the debate - I shudder for the future of our Republic........
If this person has never seen Kerry before the debate she shouldn't be allowed to drive a car.
" I shudder for the future of our Republic........"
For 83-year-old Dorothy Van Asdale, of Yuma, Ariz
Na, Are future is FINE, what I sudder at is our past. I am amazed we managed to survive this type of voter for 62 years and counting.
