Attention Okies: Help spread the word about Carson's liberal record!

Posted on 10/14/2004 8:02:41 PM PDT by Minus_The_Bear

If any other Okie Freepers want to help spread the word about Brad Carson's liberal record let me know. Brad Carson has been traveling the state telling voters he's a conservative Dem when nothing could be further from the truth. Combat the out of state political operatives!

I'll be hanging these signs all over the Tulsa area this weekend. I plan on putting up enough signs to get attention in the local media (radio, TV, newspapers). Email me if you want to help in other areas around the state. Help from other parts of the state would be great!!!

I've printed out a ton of em here at OSU!!

I'm passing em out like crazy!

I asked a girl today who she was voting for. She said Carson.

I spent 5 minutes with her...handed her a Coburn pamphlet..and she changed her vote.

Yes, we all know that Brad Carson (like his friend Brad Henry) has liberal tendencies. Now the question is: What is it that "conservative" OK sees in the two "Brads" (both admirers of Bill Clinton) that we conservatives do not see? Or is it just that Dr. Coburn is a self-destructive candidate, as much as conservatives admire his commitment to principle. The way things could be going: OK will be another SD -- Republican for President but Democrat for other high offices.

Yep, Dr. Coburn is up but that doesn't mean we should just sit back. I don't want to relive the Largent fiasco.

I'm an Okie ex-patriate in CA.
I can't believe Coburn has had this level of fight.
Carson must be a true slickster.

well, Carson has had a lot of national help. Especially from far-left websites like DailyKos and TalkingPointsMemo. The majority of his advertising/campaign staff are from out of state.

I've listened to Carson and he makes my skin crawl. He's smooth, and yet at the same time he makes you feel uneasy.

Still, why are nearly half of the people of OK "falling" for Carson? What are they expecting to obtain from his service as senator?

Being out of OK, it seems to an outsider that Coburn is not campaigning that much or certainly not that effectively. Could OK be tiring of its Republicanism, the way IL did long ago?

We are not tiring of Republicans -- but it sure seems like you wish we were. Henry winning was a fluke but you have been told that so much it makes my head swim.

Go peddle your doom and gloom elsewhere -- Oklahomans do just fine without your snide and sarcastic remarks about our candidates.

BTW, Dr. Tom has been all over the State campaigning and if had bothered to check was up 5 points in the latest poll. Your buddy Carson's latest vile ad that looks like it is written by Hillary Clinton is going to backfire as Republicans and conservative Democrats get mad. Carson is nothing but a liar and a vile human being with his latest attack ad which has Hillary Clinton written all over it.

Now go pester some other state!

OK, PhiKapMom, let's hope that you are right. The fact that you are so defensive could mean that deep down you are very frightened about Carson replacing Nickles in the Senate. No one has still explained just why Carson is attracting so much support in conservative parts of OK. Is Barry Switzer the key to a Democrat resurgence in OK?

It never hurts to work like you are down even though you are confident of winning until we are in the W column.

Barry Switzer is a has been. You make me defensive with your comments that are untrue about Oklahoma. At the last football game where he was introduced the lack of applause was noticeable. Everyone in my section refused to clap and there were a few boo's. Brad Henry, his boy, doesn't get up before noon and is one of the good old, skirt chasing, boys of Oklahoma politics.

Switzer's restaurants have gone under -- he has made a lot of people really disgusted with his comments and Bob Stoops has solidly replaced him as the head of OU football. BTW, our coaches and their families are conservatives.

Switzer is a has been and will continue to be!

If you knew politics like you claim to know it, you work like you are behind even if you know you are winning. Your continual gloom and doom about Oklahoma Republicans makes me wonder your true agenda as it does others here in Oklahoma. Comparing us to Illinois Republicans -- give us all a break here in Oklahoma and go peddle your gloom and doom about Oklahoma Republicans elsewhere and leave us alone.

Exactly and why we are in the process of getting out every last vote we can for Dr. Coburn. This last ad of Carson's has Hillary fingerprints on it unless I miss my guess -- it is sleezy and I hope that some Oklahomans finally see through the slick Carson and all of his slimey RAT attacks!
