But isn't there a tradition that you name your kids what you first see when they are born? No. Every American Indian tribe has slightly different naming traditions. In many, a true name is not given until after a baby is born, not until the child reaches puberty in some cases. In other tribes, babies must be given names from their parents' own family or clan. Traditional American Indian names are often spiritually divined, unique to each individual, and/or related to an accomplishment, rite of passage, dream, or life event.

P.J.sez..."Call it 'Suzi's All-Nite E-Z Drive-Thru Donut Shoppe' if you want. Are the gals still nekkid?" PING to the REPUBLICAN PARTY REPTILE ping list! What is the Republican Party Reptile? It is a creature of the eighties. It's neoconservatism with its pants down around its ankles, the Rehnquist Supreme Court on drugs, a disco Hobbes living without shame or federally mandated safety regulations. The Republican Party Reptile supports a strong defense policy, but sees no reason to conduct it while sober. The RPR believes in minimum government interference in private affairs;unless the government brings over extra girls and some ice. In short, the RPR is the new label that our political spectrum has been crying out for;the conservative with a sense of humor and a healthy dose of depravity.

Any quote from Al Swearengen will do nicely.

Indeed. How dare they fight back? How dare they expect the U.S. Government to keep its word?
In any case, I find the bigotry these type of threads inevitably reveal very disturbing. If we were talking about black Americans, a good share of posts on FR would be pulled.

So, you admire his hatred, then? Is that what you are saying?

When you say Crazy Horse to me you conjure up Neil Young's best backup band, with Nils Lofgren.

I don't agree with the use of those words (it is a rule here not to use them, even with the cute ****'s or _____ which you use) but to have them reposted for shock value is pretty juvenile.
You do the same thing and thank goodness you don't spell them out either.
So if he is a "coward" for not swearing on FR, is everyone that uses _____ or ***** or whatever a coward?
People that can't express themselves with out resorting to swearing or personal attacks are not too credible.

Don't you think it a bit ironic that the Sioux will pick a fight in France over the name of a bar but don't seem to have the stones to do anything about a big racist Hollywood production?

Just so long as it's not Crazy Horse Casino and Hi-Stakes Bingo. Heh. Just kidding. I'm not in an argumentative mood today.

How does the guy know it necessarily is referring to his forebear? Couldn't the name be describing a horse that was crazy, as his grandfathers mane did?
Besides, the place has been in operation for over 50 years.

Well I am well acquainted with your information, thanks anyway.
It's not all about Indians, my question wasn't just confined to Indian Tradition.
"You" wasn't "you" in particular.
