Yesterday was a tough day as not only did my mom pass away but it was my son's thirteenth birthday. So now I have to face reality.
Can't begin to express my gratitude to all in this forum who have sent your prayers and wishes. You are all the salt of the earth. You don't even know my real name! If Iran is the locus of evil in the world then Free Republic is the locus to goodness. God bless you all!

My wife and I had our son's wake on our wedding anniversary.
May God provide you some measure of comfort as you come to grips with your loss. If there is anything I can do to help you work through this, you need only ask, though I don't claim to have all the answers.
Cast your focus on your own family. Determine what their needs are and do your best to help see them through. It will help you take your mind off your own awful suffering.
