Michael Jackson is furious after learning bosses at MTV plan to continue airing Eminem's controversial video for his single Just Lose It.
The 46-year-old Bad singer urged all TV networks to ban the clip, which features Eminem dressed as Jackson, jumping around on a bed with young children. His also nose then falls off and his hair bursts into flames - which spoofs the Thriller star's accident on the set of a Pepsi commercial in 1984.
And while Black Entertainment Television (BET) has banned the video, MTV has decided to allow its broadcast, angering Jackson.
His spokesperson Raymone Bain tells website Eurweb: "Eminem released a statement, he and Interscope, saying they stand by the video and they're disappointed that BET pulled it. And MTV came out saying they were going to continue to air it on MTV, MTV2 and MTV Europe."
Jackson adds: "I think it's the wrong thing to do. It should be pulled, it shouldn't be played. It's incorrect."
Bain continues: "VH1 sent out a release this evening saying they were meeting on whether or not they're going to air it. So for them to release something like that must mean they're more than likely to pull it. I can't see them releasing a statement saying they're in the process of meeting on it."
A writer I'm acquainted with once described Eminem as "a chipmonk on PCP," or something like that.
Oh come on now. I'd PAY to watch this. I have not seen it yet, but the description makes this a definite Nobel Prize nominee.
You should see it.
It is hillarious.
At the end of the video MJ's(eminem dressed as MJ)nose falls off and E is crawling around the floor looking for it...some woman dances by and kicks the nose across the floor....
The whole video is a hit piece against MJ, Madonna and I think Sean PUFF DADDY Combs.
Enema M may be a pain in the butt and his music sucks (All RAP does) but THAT is funny.
"WHOOOOOOO. Oops, where's my nose?"
Sounds pretty tame. "Incorrect"!
"It is hillarious."
This is not my ordinary cup of tea. I watched MTV once years ago, when my children were young, just long enough to call and cancel my cable subscription. But I saw bits of this video on John Gibson's program and I have to tell you I could not stop laughing. The hair on fire thing particularly got to me.
Jackson is 46?.....another shock to the system......
can't wait to see Jackson in ten years at 56 performing Bad........
BET is showing their true colors or shall I say--racial tones. They'll run a video by Urine Diddy that degrades women, portrays drug dealers and pimp as heroes, and of course nothing is off limits when it comes to bashing George Bush but they'll censor a parody of a wacked out child molester 'soully' because the subject might still be black.
MTV plays music videos???
If Jackson wanted to avoid being an object of ridicule, he should try to be less ridiculous. He brought this on himself, every step of the way, through his outrageous behavior designed to catch the public eye.
Hey Michael, if you're getting too much publicity, fire your publicist!
sensorship!!!
Exactly right and well said.
DC TAlk doesn't suck!
I disagree withg the pedophile on this one.
I believe that it is completely correct, inasmuchas it is precisely the spoof/hit piece that Eminem wished it to be. Thus it is completely correct.
Whether it is wrong to have developed and aired this piece is a question that could reasonably be discussed. But it is most definately not incorrect!
"The whole video is a hit piece against MJ, Madonna and I think Sean PUFF DADDY Combs."
Great, I can't stand any of those people. Madonna with her holier-than-thou pseudo-religion claiming Bush is Hitler, and where do I begin with P.Diddy? Nowhere, because he is a mindless dolt who acts like he is 12 years old. Seriously, if I was an undecided voter, I would just ask who P.Diddy is voting for and then vote for the other guy.
MTV plays videos???
Uh oh, better not let Ralphie May hear about this.
Ralphie is foul mouthed, but funny as hell.
