Bush clearly won. He solidified his base. Go Mr. Bush!

Kerry was reduced to talking about being an altar boy and getting advice from Mom.

Whoo hooooo!! Not only that but it looks like DU crashed.

Well, that's too bad- I was looking forward to a Doug from Upland thread on tonight's DU antics.

Great point. He said it was three words too. Seems to me it's one word said three times.

The closest he came to saying something nice about her, "I married up", got a laugh but came across as shallow.

I have absolutely no religious beliefs whatsoever. But watching the President's sincere, heartfelt explanation of the role of religion in his life alongside Ol' Spitball's rambling blather about education and poverty showed more starkly than anything else thus far in this process the difference between a real person and a pathetic phony. It was the capstone on a smashing performance by someone for whom I did not vote in 2000 (I went Libertarian) but who I now think is, by any measure, one of the greatest people ever to bear the label "American." This was a Bush blowout, and it will be fun to watch the MSM squirm about it.

I flipped over to CNN, and Candy Crowley gave kudos to the sincerity of President Bush's response on religion.

I was a bit nervous at first, distracted by what seemed to be a numb lip or lump on the cheek of Bush. But I think Bush definitely marched the ball down the field and scored a touchdown!

I think Kerry tanked on the question about abortion, yacking on and on about being Catholic. I thought he wasn't going to inject his personal faith into the issue? Bush did well on that question.

Bush also whipped Kerry on the question about faith. He was so genuine and sincere, while Kerry seemed stilted and insincere. I also think Kerry may have lost some of his non-religious base by quoting the Bible. (I am a Christian, but I think non-Christians would be put off by Kerry's answer.)

Bush absolutely won the last question about strong women, easily talking about his love for Laura with obvious sincerity. Kerry dug a hole for himself and then climbed in on that one.

CNN and MSNBC appear to be attempting to convince themselves that Kerry and Bush had a draw - they looked worried.

Yes let's get clarity on the 50% Black unemployment rate. That sounds way too high. If it were truly that high, we'd be hearing about it in the news media.

I'll add my voice to the Chorus. Bush finally won and looked good. Let's face it, Bush is not a good debater but he did what he had to do tonight. Kerry helped with some dumb comments like the comment on Cheney's daughter and his commente on "marrying up". Bush just seemed wrapped much tighter tonight and to quote his Dad in his debate against Gelaldine Ferrero he "kicked a little ass"

Well if Bush hammered him on his record I'm good. I personaly thought Kerry's response to his faith was lame and so was his response to his wife. I just thought he looked pretty good as far as an uninformed person might see it. Of course I was burning I was so pissed at every lie he spoke.

What the hell was the " I was blessed by a shamaan" "Tom Daschle hugging Bush was so genuine". First thing I thought was Daschle asked for a shout out.

Kerry was quite amused by it as well, which made it worse. His daughters are said to call her Stepmoney. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Any word on the MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS spin thus far? I can't watch the MSM on nights like this without unbearable disgust?
