I missed that comment of Rush's about not being able to hide who you are when you talk for ninety minutes, but he was SO RIGHT. Not only did we get a clear idea of exactly what Kerry is, GW was also unmistakeable. The interesting thing is that Ann Richards, former Texas gov. and lickspittle extraordinaire, said almost the same thing about GW. That she underestimated him, that he spoke in short sentences, seemed so beatable, yet he ate her lunch. Everyone he's debated, he's ended up wiping the floor with...because he stands there and shows you who he is. Substance, honesty, a good heart, firmness, and kindness. You can't fake the real thing. GW is the real thing.
Bush always asks for the vote. I've seen him in person 3 times and he does it every single time.
'I don't get the deal with Tuhrayzah. She could do better, she doesn't have to be so frumpy - big time campaign like that ougta have had a style consultant for here, ala Hitlery (and here I'm talking about 12 years ago, not today).
Really, she is totally unappealing, and also seems a bit troubled, like she really doesn't want to be out like this. Anybody else see that?'
I think she is bipolar, and uncertain of herself. Talk about a "Stranger in a Strange Land".....! She is truly a classic pysch study...for another day - let's get this election out of the way....
Callin' Bush a cheerleader while pointing out Kerry's Vietnam...
ohhh...yeah..and btw...
Oh, and what was THAT about comparing Tony Soprano to the President?
What a low-class, no-count poodle. Not statesmanlike, eh?
Amen!
Agreed...however, take the issue of Social Security, does anybody in America really believe the program will survive without major, structural reform?! And Kerry came out 100% against privatization. How ridiculous, and how insulting it is to the Seniors to whom he was pandering.
If I was 30 or younger, I'd have major concerns about Kerry's judgement on that issue!!
Good to see you, my FRiend...MUD
Local NBC television affiliate here in Des Moines had Cheney on the news tonight after the debate. They asked Cheney about the comment about his daughter. Cheney said it was inappropriate to bring his daughter in to it. He really looked ticked off about it.
Well I've been a Yankees fan since Joe Torre came aboard in 1996 or 1997--that guy is just a class act. Nothing rattles him. I have nothing against the Red Sox really, but any team of Matt Damon's and Ben Asslick's is no team of mine. Plus, you have stupid awkward Kerry wanting all the peasants to believe he's a Red Sox fan--please. Yankees all the way.
(BTW: When Hillary was running for Senate in 2000, she started wearing a Mets cap. Four years later, she hasn't wore a Mets cap since.)
"Thank God we're out of the debate cycle."
Yes! I think it was a mistake to agree to three debates. All and all I think the president suffered serious losses from these debates. The Pres and his advisors generally do so well in other things, I don't know where they went wrong. I think if the pres had listed to some of what people say here on freerepublic he would have burried Kerry. He needed to get partisan and get personal.
He needed to say,
"look, Senator, this is the 3rd time I've had to correct someting you've said tonite. Now are you going to be strait with the American people or not?"
Me, too. Rubber Band Man is terrific!
So to speak.
It was up to almost 61.....now down to 55 can't figure it
Weasel Clark is such a non-person who cares what he says or thinks!
hmmm
Well, you know what: there are some rumors going around NC about Kate Edwards; I think I will forward them to the press.
Glass parking lot in MECCA ?
lol
I think the biggest misque "W" had was letting Kerry slide on the OVERTIME matter. He needed to tell everyone KERRY was the deciding VOTE, and he did not make it.
