There is nothing new here to move the story forward. On the contrary the visual image of all these men coming together is POWERFUL.
It's no sneak attack, they're all looking right into the camera and telling you sKerry isn't qualified, let em try to spin that.
They've laid it on the line, God Bless the Swifties! IMHO.

What I liked the most about them was that
Those vets looked pissed as hell!
I could just see sKerry watching the ad while trying to swallow the massive bullfrog in his throat.
anyone have a good side-by-side idea?

Thanks for the ping - BUMP!

Simple. Succinct. Superbly To The Point.
Just made a contribution to keep the ads running.
Both of these are going to sting and leave huge marks!

God Bless these fine men for their steadfast courage and deep faith in us. A sea of faces that calls to us all to do our part, now that they've done theirs.
We all must do all we can not to let them down, nor their children and grandchildren and our own.
Get the truth out................

It may not have affected you, but the first one brought my husband to tears. He thought the second was powerful also.
To: AUsome Joy; Mister Baredog
I am sure that it affected some people in a moving way. But my point is that an ad is effective if it can become the news, like the first Swift ad. These two doesn't have any news values, so they are like any other ads. They won't get free play in the media. Both in print and on TV. Thus, while it may move some people, it won't reach that many unless they spend tons of money. Plus Bush needs help with the women voters, and all these ads show just men.

Thanks I.T. This and the Naval discharge thing should make news, hopefully some media other than Fox will report it.

OH, HOH! "Why?" is a truly powerful presentation! One body-punch after another. And "They Served" is needed to explain who these men are. Thank you.

I hate to be a contrarian here, but these ads didn't do anything for me. There is nothing new here to move the story forward. I liked the French VC meeting ad as well as the wife of POWs much better. I also thought they were going to release some story about Kerry pissing on a flag. The only surprise to me was that it took a whole 20 posts before someone had to pee in the Wheaties. I applaud these brave men and outstanding leaders for all they have done, including these two commercials.
If you believed the rumors about urinating on a flag, that's your own problem.
