SPIN THOSE POLLS! SPIN THOSE POLLS! [10/13 02:50 PM]
UPI reports on the efforts to spin online polls and mass-mailed letters to the editor.
President George W. Bush and Sen. John F. Kerry will walk across the stage Wednesday night and greet each other at the beginning of the third and final presidential debate. Already, across the country, e-mail messages are arriving in newsroom inboxes declaring a winner. A new form of spam is emerging this fall, called debate-spin spam, experts told UPI's The Web. The veracity of the e-mail messages being sent as letters to the editor is coming into question, as are the timing and content of many of the messages, because a significant percentage is being generated by bots, or intelligent software agents.
Which reminds me, it's time for the Pajamahadeen to continue our jujitsu operations. We had some success recently, but I think it's time to set our sights higher.
As usual, the instant online polls of news organizations, that the DNC is steering its members to here, will be less valuable and useful if the result is so stunningly skewed that no one believes it. So a poll that shows Kerry won 99 percent to 1 percent is less useful to the DNC than one that shows Kerry won 70 percent to 30 percent....
SAMPLE LETTER TO THE EDITOR
kerry won the debate! He reveiled george "shruberew" bush to be a phony and a dunce. The best part was when john kerry made an indisputable case for government run health care, then stepped out from behind his podium, did a triple running backflip and landed on the shrub's podium, pointed at the cowering selected president and said "I OWN YOU SUCKA!!!!!"
JOHN KERRY KICKED BUTT TONIGHT!!!!
I agree. No poll votes tonight. Is there a way we can keep this thread up through out the day and evening?
Good call. I won't vote in any of them. Get out the word.
I am in---good, I don't feel like going to all those liberal biased sites anyway!
If someone is dumb enough NOT to see through it then they are dumb enough to think their candidate is so far ahead that they don't have show up to vote.
No kidding. Sometimes it feels like everything's gone wackadoodle already, but I'm sure that's nothing compared to what we'll see if the Kerry and the Dims gain power.
I think this is a bad idea.
You are no better than them if you try to manipulate results. In addition, you end up with a "loss". To me, this is a lose-lose strategy.
"Maybe somebody could post a list of the polls we're supposed to ignore"
My impression was that we ignore them all...
I've been saying this for some time. Nothing lends credibility like parity.
(or parody, for that matter)
JOHN KERRY KICKED BUTT TONIGHT!!!!
I think I've already seen this letter in my local paper. Amazing.
No, no, no. Vote in them, as many times as you can. But vote for Kerry...
I agree. I know some sheep who are waiting to "see what the polls say" to decide on who to vote for!
Thank you!
Indeed. Vote for Kerry in the online polls.
I've been saying this for weeks. Freeping a poll only works to ligitimize the results. Let them get 99%. It only makes the poll look rediculous.
LOL. I hope you are right but I have a deep distrust of the MSM.
great friggin idea... I'm so sick of these stupid on line polls.... lets make them obsolete tonight...
you better believe, after our famous Buckhead incident, the MSM checks here continually...
we are shutting these damn things down...
Yep. I agree.
Why waste time competing against a rigged setup that will pump out votes faster than any human could? Saddam got near a 100% vote in one of his elections, 100% in his last. This should be our aim. LOL
CHEESE IT! HO MY GOD! THE DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND IS ONTO US!
I knew this wouldn't end well, Mr. Gower!
