No mystery here. Time to move on, people. Bush said so himself.

I guess this is one reasons JF'nK will not sign his 180 Navy release form. Also, I suspect that putting YOURSELF in for medals would not play well with the American electorate. I wonder how long it will take CBS and the NY Times to pick up on the story? LOL!

Time to move on, people. Bush said so himself. No way.
The President has to look Presidential. Fine.
We're just pajama-wearing internet scum, and I, for one, want a 10-million candlepower light of truth brought to bear on this Kerry bastard, before the mindless "undecideds" of America vote him into office!

I searched for this using the title of the article. I also searched for it using appropriate key words. Did not find it before I posted. Sorry for the re post, but perhaps the search feature is not as much of a friend as we would like?

If the President truly did not believe in these inquiries, I don't believe they would be going on. This is the kind of tactics that are necessary in a close race, and it must be conducted by independent supporters of the President rather than by his own campaign.

It has been bubbling here foe about a week. Best guess is he got an Undesirable Discharge based on his actions in the antiwar movement while still a member of the Naval Reserve. Further, that at some later time (Carter?, Clinton?) it was upgraded as a political favor/payoff.
Good bet that the Clinton's are aware of this and are using it to leverage cooperation and/or blackmail Kerry. Could explain why Terry McA has not been ousted but the nominee.

My guess is he got a "Bad Conduct Discharge" for consorting with the enemy originally.

Two things come to mind. Officer corp of navy loves to "issue" medals to themselves and anyone in sight. Plenty to go round is their motto.
The second thought is that they also dislike any public disclosure of their self aggrandizement.

it couldn't have been an honorable discharge, or there would have been no point in any review at all.
What logic course did this guy take?
Navy boards decide whether to discharge someone for strength adjustment.
