So I finally just looked at sKerry's DD214 posted on his web site.
http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/DD214.pdf
One thing is absolutely certain: If everything is above board with him, he ought to be able to produce a DD214 with the service data listing his service medals AS WELL AS the type of SEPARATION (honorable or not) he was given, as I can do. The document above is only the first 9 months or so of his military service. There is no other DD214 that I can see there.
I have my final DD214 in the same location as with other super-important documents: birth certificate/ baptism/ marriage cert/ etc. This is one document that you don't just misplace. I even have it in the original dated envelope. sKerry's should have been readily available for production and display on the web site.
Kerry's campaign states that he has revealed everything about his military service, and that it is on his web site. Wrong. He's lying. Surprised?

bump to the top!!!
bttt!
Look again - page 2 shows that he had 3 years of active duty at the time of the second DD214 (page 2) being issued.
Page 2 also lists his medals (complete with the infamous incorrect devices wasarded).
But what about the attachment noted after the Purple Heart?
Is that simply the documentation of his wounds that everyone already has seen and discussed in great detail already?
And not surprised that the Lamestream media is ignoring it and protecting Kerry!
Big trouble ahead for this nation.
The "old commie media" is the most ruthless and destructive institution in the country.
And, they are still influential enough to win this election for the commie/socialist, pompous, and pretentious Kerry.
BTT!!!!!!
Just poking around the internet a little bit, I found this at http://www.landscaper.net/discharg.htm#Upgrading%20Discharges
Upgrading Discharges
Over 400,000 veterans who received "less than honorable" discharges between 1964 and 1973, may be eligible to have them upgraded to Honorable. (This does not include Dishonorable or Bad Conduct discharges)

Correct me if I'm wrong...but with the dates on that 214 he posted, wouldn't he have been giving aid and comfort to the enemy while still on AD status?....or at least while an inactive reservist.....and I'm reasonably certain that there are sections in the UCMJ specifically written for people who do this sort of thing.
I believe you are absolutely right. I think that his separation was for cause, perhaps still officially categorized as honorable, but not quite up to certified war hero status
This is not his final DD-214 ... All this is is from his OCS school to his comission date... This is useless...
Kerry's posted DD214 at his web site shows NO foreign (Vietnam) service. Reference : #22 c.
This is strictly discharging him from enlisted ranks. When the go through OCS they are E-5s. This is a release so he can go active duty as an Ensign. This is very misleading. Anyone who has served can eventually put 2 and 2 together. He is not being above board with people here. Also, another give away is there is no foreign service time listed. If he had already been in Vietnam there should have been time in this block. He is definitely hiding something and he needs to come clean about it.
"I have my final DD214 in the same location as with other super-important documents"
I had mine registered with the county clerk in Tucson when I separated. Much easier a place to get a true copy should it ever be required and should my personal copie(s) ever get lost or destroyed...

A man who took Super 8 movies of his Vietnam tour would not lose his DD214 unless he wanted to! End of argument!
Actually, a DD214 is a seperation from active duty document and as best I can remember will never include the kind of discharge you have unless you are discharged the day you also end your active duty. My DD-214 was issued 4 years before my 6 years of total duty was completed and all it says is I completed 24 months of active duty.
