Thanks for showing it to your husband. I hope he and others are correct. I showed it to my Wife and she thought the guy was definitely crazy.
It's been reported anyway.
Was it BS that the guy was seriously pissed off? No.
Was it BS that he knew what he was pissed off about? No.
Was it BS that he knew mostly what he was talking about? No.
Was it BS that he was posting in a science and astronomy forum? No. Why was he posting it there? ?
Was it BS that he could replicate State vehicle paint jobs? No.
What exactly was Bravo Sierra? Hot tapping? I've seen it done, nothing to it with the right equipment and training.
Was it BS that there are pipelines coming from Canada? No.
I found his post disturbing and brought it over her to TM for analysis as well as reported it.
We'll see, I guess.
her = here
Thanks for reporting it Imperialist.
Thanks also for bring it to the TM thread.
science and astronomy forum? No. Why was he posting it there? ?
I cruse the google groups when I have time. I've seen some seemingly "odd" posts in odd places. You just never know.
B.S. or not.....it is disturbing and, as such, should not be ignored.
IMHO
I think it was a great find..that's why I brought it to the attention of dh, since that's what he used to design. He said that if the hot tap is done correctly, there will be no change in pressure. But he also qualified the statement saying that so much of the success of the ht requires experienced installers and the correct specs of the equipment used in the hot tap.
That was the issue that set off his BS meter. He also said that all the major companies that he deals with look out for this kind of stuff. You obviously can't protect thousands of miles of pipeline, but the do have their "ears to the ground".
