I noticed a slight accent. He also pronounced "tyranny" as tie-ranny rather than the more accepted tear-anny.

Retired English teachers notice these things.

I noticed it just now on the clip they played on Fox News as well. I'm sure the CIA linguists know better than I do. ;)

That's interesting...so maybe say, someone who is ME maybe and learned English? Who knows, maybe even a college student.

I am sorry to hear that our kids lost a good Conservative or Republican teacher; we need more of you. Our kids deserve more of you.

Supposedly -- in footage we have not yet seen -- the speaker refers to Yemen as "The Yemen." This is also why at least one language expert thinks that English may not be his first language even though he is well versed in it.
