All I remember was that it was supposed to be a major political assassination, either foreign or American. Names like Pervez Musharraf, Tony Blair and George Bush were speculated upon.

There was some wahabist posting on another board in the past year that linked Arafat's death with Musharraf's...supposedly within a months time of each other.

Several assassinations have been tried on Musharaaf ... who after all is president of the country that's the home of the political coup. Mostly, the result has seemed to be more cooperation with US forces in western Pakistan.

I don't know that any assassination attempts on either Blair or Bush would be reported.
