Possibly. Bin Laden trying to expunge the western influences of his family as Hitler tried to expunge his own Jewish heritage. Stalin, Hitler, Saddam, and Kim Jong-il all had some messed up family histories. UBL would fit right in if given the chance.
Someone alluded to Occam's Razor a few posts ago (the simplest explanation is usually correct). I think UBL is still ticked off that GWB did not jump up and scurry back to DC as he had planned. He didn't play along with the script. Maybe UBL didn't manage to get his main target that day. And so he rages on about goat stories.
The father-son issues are too complicated for me as it would sound too much like psychobabble.
But when they started talking about his father Mohammed, I remembered that he died in TX in a plane crash in 1968 (planes theme), and his older brother Salem (who took over the family business after the death of the father) died the same way (crash of a small plane) in 1988 in TX.
That along with the Bush 41 and Bush 43 father-son ties to TX, energy infrastructure crucial to the economy, and the "belly of the eagle" threat make me think TX is next.

I didn't like the connection of the dots regarding the use of the word "Manhattan" instead of New York or 9/11 when referring to the WTC attacks.

Those electoral college projections do not attempt to track daily movements in the battleground states. The 130 electoral votes in 11 states he labels tossup are in flux. He is one of the best, but he is not doing daily tracking (at least none publicly available).
I could tell you what I think is happening as far as trends go, but it really doesn't matter what the poll is today or yesterday or any trend that may or may not exist because almost all the battlegrounds are still in the margins of error with the different polls and most could go either way tomorrow.
The only poll that matters is tomorrow.

Regarding this whole "state"vs."nation" issue, this excerpt from
The Sheikh Osama Inaugarates a New Strategy for Dismantling America at Jill's site, may shed some light on it. I've paraphrased it here for easier reading.
"The Sheikh, that Allah appears on, has an accurate knowledge of the general directions different American states generally go in and he observes the disintegration of the state* and the severe divisions that devastate American society: between the one(s) who support Bush and those who support Kerry. So, he directed his speech to each American state separately, reminding them that their interaction from now on will be on a state level separately and not on a national level. The states that can confrim that they are preventing their sons from participating in the aggression and that are pressuring the federal government to go in this direction, we assure them that they will not be attacked, and the reverse is true.
This new strategy considers the jihad basic response (Al-Mahdi terrorism) against the politics that America and Israel follow in Iraq and Palestine bombing cities and regions...

Interestingly, it specifically states that they don't want to impact the election saying at the beginning:

LONDON (Reuters) - Intelligence services have warned military personnel to be on heightened guard against possible terrorist attacks, the Sunday Telegraph reported.Thanks for the ping to this...I haven't noticed it mentioned at all on the broadcast media here.
Meantime here's a weird story. There's no suggestion at all that it is terrorism-related at this stage, but it's quite an unusual occurrence. This is a main network radio transmitter, its collapse leaves hundreds of thousands of listeners in the East of England without radio reception.
