Possibly. Bin Laden trying to expunge the western influences of his family as Hitler tried to expunge his own Jewish heritage. Stalin, Hitler, Saddam, and Kim Jong-il all had some messed up family histories. UBL would fit right in if given the chance.
Someone alluded to Occam's Razor a few posts ago (the simplest explanation is usually correct). I think UBL is still ticked off that GWB did not jump up and scurry back to DC as he had planned. He didn't play along with the script. Maybe UBL didn't manage to get his main target that day. And so he rages on about goat stories.
The father-son issues are too complicated for me as it would sound too much like psychobabble.
But when they started talking about his father Mohammed, I remembered that he died in TX in a plane crash in 1968 (planes theme), and his older brother Salem (who took over the family business after the death of the father) died the same way (crash of a small plane) in 1988 in TX.
That along with the Bush 41 and Bush 43 father-son ties to TX, energy infrastructure crucial to the economy, and the "belly of the eagle" threat make me think TX is next.
