The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

I don't post here but read all the time, my significant other is with airlines, so I like to keep him informed of what is going on, Threat Matrix is best at keeping me updated. Forgive me if this has already been pointed out...I have been thinking of the 2 bows since the picture came out. I just went to silverdome site. http://www.silverdome.com/ and the picture posted on main page upper right hand corner is picture of stadium, on the ground (grassy area) appears to be a Bow (shape of bowtie), also appears it would exist on other side. Just a thought.

Thanks, cause the suprise by the Jihadi's is unexpected, just as the tape going directly to a US station vice Al-Jazera is unexpected. Their conversation may provide additional information as to what is happening.

I think this might be the assassination they're talking about:

He said four men pulled up outside a house in central Baghdad and tried to force Qusay Mehdi Saleh, who was Iraq's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates until a month ago, into their car. When he resisted, he was shot twice.

The Islamic Army in Iraq militant group claimed responsibility for the killing, Al Jazeera television reported.

Could be confused reporting. But the first report had the individual as the ambassador to Abu Daubi and assassinated there. This is the UAE ambassador and killed in Bagdad. Probably the same event, will have to see if anything further comes out to clarify it.

As the old timers know, I see things differently with these eyes, than you may.

I could never draw things like a table and give it 4 legs, that stood up.

The plane shape, could be lifted from any place, a child's
color book, is where I would start.

The bow, is about what I would draw, if I wanted to show a stadium, the bow shows the depth of the diamond and the 2 things on the side, are the bleachers.....

Do I think that this is "the answer"?.

No, but it is possible.

Have discussed this with my youngest son, and we are of the belief a bike in the trunk might not be such a bad idea (when you consider gas stations may not be operational) along with a filled backpack, as if you were going on a week's trip or more.

Was someone trying to post an image of the St. Louis stadium on the thread? I noticed a couple of posts that had an image that didn't link.

Here's one, if it works, it may not either, but it shows the arch (bow) behind it.

Of course, as someone else pointed out, no one knew until just a few days ago just which teams would be in the series. Posting 2 pics here, in case one doesn't work.
