Voter Registrations Possibly Trashed

Voter Registrations Trashed

(Oct. 12) -- Employees of a private voter registration company allege that hundreds, perhaps thousands of voters who may think they are registered will be rudely surprised on election day. The company claims hundreds of registration forms were thrown in the trash.

Anyone who has recently registered or re-registered to vote outside a mall or grocery store or even government building may be affected.

The I-Team has obtained information about an alleged widespread pattern of potential registration fraud aimed at democrats. Thee focus of the story is a private registration company called Voters Outreach of America, AKA America Votes.

The out-of-state firm has been in Las Vegas for the past few months, registering voters. It employed up to 300 part-time workers and collected hundreds of registrations per day, but former employees of the company say that Voters Outreach of America only wanted Republican registrations.

Two former workers say they personally witnessed company supervisors rip up and trash registration forms signed by Democrats.

"We caught her taking Democrats out of my pile, handed them to her assistant and he ripped them up right in front of us. I grabbed some of them out of the garbage and she tells her assisatnt to get those from me," said Eric Russell, former Voters Outreach employee.

Eric Russell managed to retrieve a pile of shredded paperwork including signed voter registration forms, all from Democrats. We took them to the Clark County Election Department and confirmed that they had not, in fact, been filed with the county as required by law.

So the people on those forms who think they will be able to vote on Election Day are sadly mistaken. We attempted to speak to Voters Outreach but found that its office has been rented out to someone else.

The landlord says Voters Outreach was evicted for non-payment of rent. Another source said the company has now moved on to Oregon where it is once again registering voters. It's unknown how many registrations may have been tossed out, but another ex-employee told Eyewitness News she had the same suspicions when she worked there.

It's going to take a while to sort all of this out, but the immediate concern for voters is to make sure you really are registered.

Call the Clark County Election Department at 455-VOTE orclick here to see if you are registered.

The company has been largely, if not entirely funded, by the Republican National Committee. Similar complaints have been received in Reno where the registrar has asked the FBI to investigate.

This just doesn't sound "Republican."

No, it doesn't. It sounds more like the Dems creating another false story. From America Votes website:

The article says that America Votes is linked to the RNC. The following is from the America Votes website. It doesn't look like there are many Republican links there to me.

First thing I'd like to know about is the source (the news medium), then about the allegers. This just doesn't sound "Republican."

It seems that liberals will go to any length to win this election and then the fall of the United States!

FR has been flooded with reports of liberal/radical "get
out the vote" frauds over the last week. This is the first
I've seen attributed to an alleged GOP-linked group.

But the fact is that anyone who registered via a 3rd party,
on paper, via web, phone or email, needs to assume that
they are in fact NOT registered, if only due to someone's
carelessness. But wait, with some of the radical groups,
it gets worse - they may misuse your personal info.

_____________________________

Subject: Will you be turned away on November 2nd?

This email is unfortunately not a hoax or urban legend.
Share it with any people whose votes you care about.
This is particularly important in "battleground" states.

1. Register in person

Unless you registered to vote in person at an official
location, you may not be registered, or you may have a
defective registration. You need to verify your voter
registration status in person with your local elections
office.

2. Verify it

There is some chance that even if you were properly
registered, and even voted in the primaries, someone
has since tampered with (filed a change on) your
registration, either to enable someone else to vote
as you, or just to deny your vote. Verify your
registration. Do this as late as possible (still
with time to fix it)

3. Look for abuse

If you gave personal information to a door-to-door,
telephone or web "get-out-the-vote" operation, there
may be fictional voters signed up as members of your
family or as unrelated people living at your address.
When you verify, ask who else is registered at your
address, or with your same name.

4. Vote as early as possible

If your locale allows it, you need to consider voting
absentee, and as early as possible, to forestall the
ability of someone else to impersonate you and steal
your vote. Register directly with the issuing office,
and not through a third party.

In Kansas, you can register up to 15 days before the
election, but vote as early as 20 days before. So
register NOW, and then you can complete steps 2/3/4
on October 13.

Although the legacy media is not eager to report it, the
2004 election promises to include significant levels of
vote fraud. Ineligible voters, multiple voters, voter
impersonation (vote theft) and registration interference
have all been reported.

3rd-party registration drives cannot be trusted with
something as important as your vote.

Innocent error is possible with any group, but the more
radical organizations are actually invalidating or simply
not filing the registrations of voters not sympathetic
to their candidate. They are also creating additional
fictional registrations based on real addresses, names
and other personal info.

You need to take steps to ensure that your vote counts,
and that information about you is not being used to
enable fraudulent votes.

Operative word here may be "former."

No, operative word here is "operative"-- as in democrat operative. ACORN has been pulling this scam all over the country--register a bunch of people but only turn in the dems. This was a planted story to cover for ACORN "They all do it " blah blah etc

Good, I hope the FBI does investigate. They will find Democrats at the bottom of it....as usual.

Of course, the PAJAMAHADEEN will have to do all the legwork for the "reporters".

Not only if voter fraud happening all across the country by Dems, but now that they are caught....they are trying to pin it on Pubs. PULEEZE!

"This story is crXp" etc

I have come to agree.

seems to be a thin veneer of plausibility spread across some manure.

someone mentioned that they had seen alot of stories like this-- does anyone have a list. is this organized. is there evidence of the next step? just wondering.

Well, I suppose it's possible that 1 out of how many hundreds of stories about voter fraud had to be Republicans. Of course, it will probably get more exposure than all the RAT fraud put together.
