Virtually all signing up are minorities.

Cue the complaints of Republicans suppressing the black vote.

ACORN has also been active in Florida, where they "reregistered" people (that is, made a change to an existing registration, such as changing the party or address). In Tampa, they "reregistered" them as Republicans, in what I think was an attempt to cast suspicion on the GOP and confuse the issue even further. The fact that all the regs were filled out in the same hand and came from ACORN tipped off the election board folks...

How does ACORN get their funding?

Does the name Soris ring a bell?

ACORN/Project Vote is almost certainly breaking other election laws. For instance, in my jurisdiction, it is illegal to solicit signatures for petitions or sign people up for anything else when registering them to vote. It is also illegal to collect/use the information on registration forms to contact those people.

Someone explain to me how a man can register 35 x's and it matter. Isn't it a situation where he may register as many times as he wants but can only vote at his precinct once? I am confused...

If you are confused I suggest you pull the Republican lever and vote a straight ticket.

I wasn't the one who posted the confused post. I knew four years ago who I was going to vote for in 2004 - BUSH/CHENNEY

Found this interesting:
Acorn is no flash in the pan. The group got its start 32 years ago in the wake of the 1960s welfare-rights movement in Arkansas.
I remember one time, right after the GOP had won back the House in 1994, ACORN crashed some speech by Newt Gingrich...obnoxious as heck!

"republicans don't want democrats voting"? Well, Duh? What exactly is wrong with that? I think all Democrats should get out there and vote on Nov. 3rd - even if they have to get up early.

So they overburden the states with phony registrations then bury 'em in phony ballots. Here we go again, and again until there are no more democrats.

In Chicago a "signature" is matched to the "signature" on the registration by DemocRAT and "GOP" judges.

How about a very public proclamation by some government figures, reminding everyone of the jail time and fines associated with voter fraud, and that the state, local and federal agencies will be pursuing this vigorously. Scare the hell out of anyone who is planning to do this...

Then, wait for the reaction from the Dems about how the evil Republicans are trying to "intimidate voters and suppress minority voting, denying them their civil rights".

They would have, of course, the full and vocal support of the Mainstream Media Choir. We can all readily imagine the sulphurous pronouncements of the New York Times editorial board.

So, because they're afraid of being called names by the MSM, the Pubbies will do nothing. Once again...

Bet they will blame it on the Republicans or at best, say it is bipartisan.

Plenty of it in Vegas too! They're going to have to change the criteria for voting...perhaps registration needs to be done a year in advance to allow time to weed out the fraud and include proof of citizenship, residency, etc.
