Coalition of Pakistani Americans is holding a press conference on Oct 14 (Thursday) to support John Kerry in the presidential election.
Dr Khalid Luqman the convener of coalition speaking to Online said Kerry believes in protecting civil liberties . He said unlike President Bush, Kerry will not target Pakistanis for sure.
He said it was unfortunate that despite of Pakistan being in front line of war against terrorism Pakistanis in United States were targeted and 1670 Pakistanis were deported back to their motherland. A large number of Pakistanis were arrested and Luqman said a number of Pakistanis are still in US jails.
The coalition's decision to support John Kerry is on five points agenda stressing that: 1) John Kerry favours the poor strata of society while president Bush wants to make rich class richer. 2) People from different walks of life in US are seriously concerned about the overall economic condition of US due to the ill-conceived policies of Bush administration.. 3) Kerry ensures protection of civil liberties and citizen rights.4) John Kerry and his Democratic Party are maintaining positive and soft posture for the immigrants 5) John Kerry and his party want promotion of parliamentary or presidential system and on the other hand the steps taken by Bush administration and their support to heads of different countries prove that they have double standards about dictatorship and democracy.
Press Conference will be held at SAMAWAR Restaurant ( Spinzeur Restaurant) at junction of RT 35 and Rt 27 in Islin on October 14 at 11.30am. Luqman expects that American media too will cover the event.-Online
Whateva
I wanted to know why the Pakistani community was quick to support sKerry.
Nice english.
Who gives a RAT's A$$.
lets just deport them back to pakistan....
First the Arabs now the Pakis....we are doomed.
IOW.... Muslims support Kerry.
If I'm Kerry I'd ask them not to. But since he has a political tin ear...
Weird ... the Pakistanis I've known have been small business owners. You'd think they'd know better. Must be conflicting incentives.
Not surprising. Most outside the USA watch CNN or BBC... both blatantly liberal in political bias. I have any friends outside the USA. I have to correct their views alot, as the only thing they see is a lie. Lies, told long enough, become believable when the truth remains silent... or unavailable.
NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!!!!! NEXT!!!!
Sorry, you lost me?
Is this guy kidding??? Kerry won't target anyone...not even terrorists!
Note to self: vote the opposite of whatever Pakistan says.
In another episode, Jerry gets a Pakistani deported. That's the Seinfeld we need!
I'm afraid my life has been totally Seinfeld-free ... but I'm sure it was funny :-).
