Well I returned this strange call, and was informed by my neice's aunt that my former sister in law was dead of cervical cancer at age 42, and that she too has cancer of a different kind

What a strange set of circumstances, especially with the Aunt having cancer too (?)

Have you had confirmation that the mother really died? Why were you called and not the your brother the ex husband?

When mental illness like your ex sisterinlaw had, which required her to be institutionalized for her safety - it seems you all did the best you could.

Good luck to all of you!

I was hoping this was a bad joke, but my neice is flying down Friday for her service saturday. Both the mom and aunt having cancer seems odd, but there is, for some reason, alot of cancer recently in California. There is no mental illness so far as we know with the aunt. I am just concerned that it is highly genetic. It happens sometimes that young people die of heart problems or cancer before their time.

"Why were you called and not the your brother the ex husband?"

I don't know why the aunt didn't have my brother's number, maybe she had it memorized ionstead of in the book. Maybe the mom hid it from the aunt because she didn't want to burden her daughter. There is quite a language barrier too.

Well thank you for all these wonderful prayers. My neice took it as well as can be expected according to my brother. My mom called her today and she is doing alright with it. I don't see how since she doesn't have faith in God. Her mom did though, and God rest her soul.
