Keyes is going to earn the distinction of getting a smaller percentage of the vote than any other Democratic or Republican candidate in any 2004 House or Senate race.

The guy is a narcissistic freak way out of his depth, and it's a shame so many people on FR have so much emotionally invested in him.

It's only on radio here in Chi-town. You'd think WTTW Channel 11(PBS) would carry this. Obabma is their Golden Boy. Wonder what's up with that?

Got the game on without sound and listening to the debate. Life is good. ;-)

Keyes' remark on Obama/Kerry following the wisdom of hindsight in the war was right on target.

I'm not liking Alan's raging protectionism.

Keyes did a fine job. He was articulate and stayed on message. He refused to let them get him all tangled up in any side issues.

I'd say that the people of Illinois should understand their choices a little better now!!

For some reason, this thread seemed a lot less stressful than a lot of the other Keyes threads I've been on. I wonder why that is. Thanks, Jim. ; )

It doesn't matter if Keyes knocks Obama out of the ballpark, the people of IL will vote or Obama no matter what. They do as they are told in Chicago and environs.

Thanks for starting the thread.

I expect the "pragmatists" will carp, the real conservatives will cheer, the MSM will distort, and the voters in Illinois will move, a bit towards Alan.... those who listened, anyway.

The transcript should prove edifying.

But for certain folks, here at FR and elsewhere, as Scripture says, "Eyes they have, but see not, ears, but hear not. Those who make them are like them."

Still, way to go, Alan. Nothing in this life is done utterly in vain.

Cheers,

Richard F.

And its sad that no TV station in Chicago would televise the debate by Illinois senate candidates.
