With the fantastic response of the previous day of prayer, Faith, OhioWFan, Kayak and those involved with the Pray for Bush effort are offering Freepers the opportunity to once again bathe the President in prayer between now and the completion of the 3rd debate. With the dirty tricks being played by the left, I'm sure you can agree that this is needed and welcomed. Please pick an hour listed below (in Eastern Standard Time) let us know if you would like to participate. More than one person may sign up for a particular time, but let's try to fill each slot first so that we definately have all 24 hours covered.
God Bless you & President Bush!
We present to You humble hearts, filled with gratitude for standing with our President in tonight's debate. We pray that glory and honor were brought to Your Name, not only through his performance, but also in all the prayers that were lifted up to You on his behalf throughout this prayer vigil. Father, may Your precious love and blessings rain down upon those who paused to pray, and may each heart be renewed with the blessed assurance that You hear and answer our prayers in ways far more wonderful than we can imagine. Great is Your faithfulness, Almighty God, and we praise You in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
God is faithful.
Another win for the prayer warriors.
May God bless you for your obedience, and may the eyes of John Kerry's heart be opened so that he may grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Another win for God! :)
Thank You, Lord, for Your wonderful promise, for hearing our prayers. We joined together in earnest and sought Your will and You delivered!!!!!!!!! BIGTIME!
God is good, yes He is, He's good all the time!
God is good, ya know He is, He's good all the time!
You can search the whole world over, no greater Friend you'll find...
He's not good just once in a while.
He's good all the time!!!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
We just thank You for Your grace and mercy and goodness towards us and towards our President, George W. Bush. Lord, we need to keep someone in office who fears You and lives his life to please You. We pray that You will make this so and thank You for everything You are and do. For it is in Jesus's name that I pray these things!
Amen!
Please reward Blogger for her faithfulness in organizing our prayer event. We praise You for all the ways that You blessed us through this gathering of believers. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I am wondering if you could do the Pray for President Bush post for me this coming Monday, October 18th. I will be going out of town. If you are unable, it is OK. Please let me know whenever you can. Thank you so much.
Faith

I didn't get to watch or hear but I've read some of the threads.
By the way, did SKerry ever sound like he was talking with a mouth full of mud? LOL
I can honestly say that this thread...praying for the specific debates...had done a marvelous work in my life. I've been so frightened of the possible outcome of the election, and so just-plain-angry at the lies and deception we've been exposed to, and it's been a very difficult time emotionally and spiritually.
Here's what I've done since last evening (and I wish I'd thought of it before last Friday's debate)...
I created a Word file including all the actual prayers which people had offered on this thread, at least, so far, through the first 400 posts. It is, at the moment, somewhere between 11 and 12 pages. I printed it and simply read each of these aloud during my specified hour of prayer--twice through. And it was such an incredible blessing. (I have chronic invisible illnesses which cause a brain fog, which makes praying the way I used to difficult.)
I've decided that these pages have been such a blessing and been such an aid to prayer that I'm going to go through all the prayers out loud at least once each day.
Now...I'd like to make an offer to you, just because, but also in thanks to each of you who have contributed to this effort to pray for our beloved President. If you would like me to send you that file of prayers in an attachment, please post to me privately giving me your email address, and I'll be glad to send it. (If my computer know-how is lacking, I'll ask my Freep son to help.)
I promise not to use your email address for any other purpose than this!
Blessèd assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.
Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long
~ Words by Fanny Crosby
I've never done such an intense period of intercessory prayer,but I stuck it out.
This morning when I got up I was lead to Psalm 64:
Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; Preserve my life form the dread enemy.
Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the schemeing of evildoers,
Who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,
Shooting from ambush at the blameless; they shoot suddenly and without fear.
They hold fast to their evil purpose;They talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, " Who can see us ?".
"Who can search out our crimes ? We have thought out a cunningly conceived plan." For the human heart and mind are deep.
But God will shoot His arrow at them; they will be wounded suddenly.
Because of their tongue He will bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake with horror.
Then everyone will fear; they will tell what God has brought about, and ponder what He has done.
Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him. Let all the upright in heart glory.
Hey, sign me up for every Friday from 7-8 CST (8-9 EST). I'm going to Adoration every Friday night during that time slot -- and I'm certainly willing to pray for our President as an intention while I say the Rosary.
