Linda Vester is currentlly interviewing Chad Clanton, described as a 'senior Kerry campaign advisor.'
Discussing the plans of the Sinclair broadcasting group to air "Stolen Honor," the documentary about Kerry's Vietnam war service, Clanton stated:
"They [Sinclair] better hope that we're not elected."
Vester immediately asked if that was intended as a threat to Sinclair that a Kerry administration would not renew their broadcast licenses. Clanton tried to back off, but the threat was unmistakable.
These people are thugs.
Thank you for your brave service to our country and defending our freedoms
It is an Outrage that these Democrats would threaten to silence our Vets
You and me both. I was trying not to curse in front of my child. The hypocrisy drives me insane.
Hopefully, thanks to Sinclair's efforts, you wont be, Mr Clanton.
Wow, he said that?
I love strong men that speak the Truth.
Here's a question .. How did Chad know about this information before the FCC Commissioner released it??
I think we're all hoping Kerry's not elected.
Well, that's good news. I didn't know we had one in our area (WNUV TV-54 in Balto.)
Worst thing the kerry campaign could say. Sinclair offered kerry equal time to answer charges of the film makes. Kerry will not do this because he would have to disclose 31 pieces of paper that he does not want the Navy to release, because it will sink his campaign.
BUT...The campaign has a hard time attacking vets directly, so like they did to the publishers of "unfit for command" they threaten the messanger.
The American people (swing voters) will see the hubabaloo and wonder why kerry will not release the records.
Financial Times (London, England) October 8, 2004 ...
"Consumers in other countries are getting magnitudes more of capacity at prices far lower than we are getting," said Mr Copps, one of five commissioners at the FCC, tipped as the next chairman should John Kerry win the Presidential election next month. "Countries like Japan, Korea and Canada have left us far behind." ...
In a hurry. :-(
RangeRover posted the link from Drudge.
I just e-mailed by Senator about the Copps remark. I am very, very angry.
Why isn't the People's Republic of Maryland a "battleground" state then?
Gee, when did the Dems start having a thing for brown shirts?
Did you see the Kerry plant in the audience who grabbed Vester by the arm and tried to steal the mic out of her hand? Then she shouted Vester down 3 mins later and Vester told her she was out of there if she didn't shut up.
"He [Copps] better hope that Republicans are not elected."
Scary stuff, folks.
Commissioner Michael J. Copps: Michael.Copps@fcc.gov
Great find. Says alot.
Dems have always had a thug element. Cowards who hide behind their words and do their "work" under the public radar. And we have the media, their true enablers, to guide them through so they will remain undercover. Amazing that it's taken so long for so many to see this clearly.
