After months of the book sitting atop the newspaper's own best-seller list, the New York Times Sunday Book Review has finally taken the time to review "Unfit for Command."
In the opening line of the review, the Times admits the serious influence the book could have in American political history:
"If John Kerry loses the presidential election, 'Unfit for Command,' by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi, will go down as a chief reason. The book - a sort of companion piece to the political attack ads placed by O'Neill's group, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth - is a furious assault on Kerry's character and service in Vietnam."
What does the rest of the review say?
I am so proud to have had both of the authors sign my copy of the book with John O'Neill writing a personal note about our service together in Vietnam in Coastal Division 13.
It is the New York Times, don't ask for much more.. at least they reviewed it even though they tried to discredit the book with innuendo and speculation.
Every dog has his day... I'm so glad they have had a chance to finally have a say about that traitorous back stabbing Kerry and his lies against our honorable troops.
It is sweet justice if they are responsible for denying him what he desires so much.

The ONLY reason John Effin Kerry will be defeated is due to the ACTIONS taken by John Effin Kerry himself. Like Ken Starr "brought down" Clinton.....the only thing that brought these two dimwits down was their own stupidity!!!! Why do people always want to shoot the messenger instead of the moron WHO WROTE THE MESSAGE??????
Typical liberals. They think a book will defeat Kerry. Can never take responsibility for themselves. If Kerry is defeated because of what he did during and after Vietnam, it is his actions and his actions alone that are responsible. Unfit For Command only chronicled them.

I started out reading this book thinking that it probably wouldn't be all that well written....but what a surprise! It's one of those books that after the first few pages, you don't want to put down! There is so much to be learned by reading it--
As long as it's only the usual stuff. I was a little afraid they'd go the Dan Rather route and claim the Swifties were all AWOL or something.
Well they did mention something about a newly discovered memo from a "personal" file somebody kept on O'Neill . . . :)
