CNSNews.com Publishes Iraqi Intelligence Docs
CNSNews ^ | October 11, 2004 | David Thibault

Posted on 10/11/2004 5:41:15 AM PDT by Quilla

When CNSNews.com published an article Monday, Oct. 4, entitled, "Exclusive: Saddam Possessed WMD, Had Extensive Terror Ties," we decided against publishing all 42 pages of the Iraqi intelligence documents in our possession and on which the article was based.

We published only the first page, fearing that if more were made widely available on the Internet, they might end up being altered or otherwise manipulated. We offered credentialed news organizations and counter-terrorism experts the opportunity to view and receive copies of the documents so that they might check for themselves on the authenticity of the documents and judge their importance in the debate over whether Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction and/or had ties to international terrorist organizations.

Several news organizations did just that. But in light of other assertions on Wednesday, widely reported by the mainstream media, that Saddam did not pose any significant threat prior to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, we felt it was time to publish as many of the Iraqi intelligence documents as possible.

What follows are copies of 24 of the 42 pages that are in our possession. Pages 21 through 26 were not published because they contain a list of terrorists trained at a camp belonging to the Iraqi Intelligence Directorate. CNSNews.com hopes to glean more information about the individuals on this list and provide updates in the future on their activities and whereabouts. Pages 29 through 40 were excluded because they replicate, though in a different person's handwriting, earlier documents.

Upon clicking on the individual pages of Arabic documents, readers will have an opportunity to click on the unedited English translation of those documents. We hope this serves to further illuminate a very important element of the ongoing debate.

Pages 2-12: Jan. 25, 1993 memo from the Iraqi Intelligence Service to Saddam Hussein, outlining the existing or developing relationships between Iraq and terrorist organizations.

I ran across this information earlier; it sheds just a bit more light on the mural we were discussing that was found in Iraq.

3rd Infantry Division's Picture Shows Large Painting of Saddam Beside World Trade Center Towers Under Attack

3rd ID Picture

The picture above was sent to me today by Sean O-L, who is a patriot and intelligence analyst.

This picture is reported to have been taken by the Third Infantry Division in Iraq, and from the dating it appears to have been taken this year, 2003, possibly in April, or also possibly in September, depending upon how the numerical ordering is to be interpreted on the picture.

The photograph is of a painting of Saddam Hussein smoking a cigar while sitting beside a clear rendition of the attack on the World Trade Center towers on Sept. 11th, 2001.

While some, particularly analysts at the CIA, will say that this painting is of no significance, that may or may not be true, depending upon where the painting was found, along with other factors.

As the reader will undoubtedly recall, high-ranking Iraqi defectors did report that Saddam Hussein was running a terrorism training camp at the Salman Pak intelligence center that is located about six miles south of Baghdad. And the reader will also undoubtedly recall that it has been reported that an airliner parked at Salman Pak was used to train Islamic militants in ways to take over airliners using small knives, such as box cutters.

There is also other evidence to indicate that Iraqi intelligence was involved in the Sept. 11th attacks, even if analysts at the CIA have strongly stated otherwise; and even though the world press has propagated and almost endlessly repeated the assertion that Saddam Hussein is free of any association with Sept. 11; after being fed this kind of information by "senior US officials."

With respect to the matter of possible Iraqi involvement in the Sept. 11th attacks, I refer the reader to the information provided in the web page I have created on the subject and which is linked to below.

The administration has agreed in large part to the findings of the last report that has been published. Now CNS says these documents represent something else. Ok, which of the reports is bunk and which is accurate? Is the administration ignorant or lying when they claim to agree to the Duefler findings?

Good, now let's have CBS authenticate those documents from CNSnews so we can get them on the air. ... LOL

Quite interesting. I'm not sure if they are more damaging than the Deufler report though, after thinking about it. Other than the last two documents in the list, most seem to come from the early 90's, which, at that time, no one (even the peace activists/Dems/traitors) denies Saddam had WMD's.

The Deufler report indicates that, among other things, in the late 90's, early part of this century, Saddam was testing WMD's on human beings, and also was trying to bribe UN inspectors. Personally, in debating leftists, I'm going to focus on that, if only for simplicity's sake.

These are still interesting though. Probably won't get reported, since they only support the decision to go into Iraq, and we can't have a Republican president look good!

And since at least one doctor in Florida stepped forward after the anthrax attacks and told us he treated two of the 9/11 hijackers for what he in retrospect recognized as anthrax, it is very likely they were working with Iraq.

Wow, that's the first time I heard about this. Any links, please?

Reasons for going to war in Iraq:

The latest CIA reports say that we DID find WMD in the form of chemical and biological weapons and/or programs to produce weapons after invading Iraq (just not "stockpiles" of WMD). The MSM will not report accurately on this, but there were other reasons for removing the regime in Iraq. Here's a partial list (please add more if you know of others)

1. State of war existing since the first gulf war
-Numerous violations of ceasefire agreements by attacking Kurds and Shiites
-Numerous violations of ceasefire agreements by firing on US and UK aircraft
-Attempted assassination of a former US president
-Conspiring to cheat the UN sanctions oil for food program
-Violation of numerous UN disarmament resolutions, possession of prohibited conventional weapons
-Failure to account for coalition MIA/POW

2. Capabilities to produce chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons were maintained in spite of UN inspections, ready to restart development as soon as sanctions and inspections were lifted

3. Known nuclear material (LEU) stockpiles

4. Known state sponsorship of terrorism; numerous terrorist organizations who have attacked the United States and/or our allies
-Iraq has been on the list of known terrorist supporting states since the list was first published
-Abu Nidal
-Al Quaeda training camps (at least one), key Al Quaeda operatives in Iraq
-Support for Hammas suicide bombers in Israel

Florida Dr. Tsonas treated Ahmed al-Haznawi for a severe leg lesion in late June.
Dr. Tsonas is now convinced it was cutaneous anthrax.

- Two Johns Hopkins biodefense experts (Dr. Thomas Inglesby, Dr. Tara O'Toole) agree with Tsonas.

- FL hijackers inquire about crop-dusters and dispersal characteristics of chemical loads.

- Atta attempted to obtain a loan to buy a plane and convert it into a chemical transport.

- Moussaoui, the "20th hijacker", had tech info on airliners, crop-dusters, and wind patterns.

- Mohamed Atta went to a drugstore with red, chemical-burned hands mid-2001.
Druggist thought Atta was suffering from exposure to a chemical with basic pH, possibly bleach (used to kill anthrax).

- Allah Rakah, detained by FBI, for placing suspicious bag of letters in his car with FL license plates

- Atta met twice with Colonel Muhammed Khalil Ibrahim al-Ani, a "very senior" Iraqi 'Special Ops' agent.
(one report says the Czechs confirmed they had video...spycraft SOP)
(another report claims that a vacumm bottle was passed to Atta during the meeting)

- Ziad Jarrah also met with an Iraqi agent in 2001 in the UAE.

- Marwan al-Shehhi also met with an Iraqi agent in 2001 in the UAE.

- Iraq is the ONLY hostile country known to have succeeded in weaponizing anthrax

- Iraq conducted military exercises simulating the dispersal of anthrax spores from crop-dusters

- The anthrax coating is silica, a material used by Iraq on biological agents.
- Chemical and biological weapons are effectively dispersed from crop-dusters

- The terrorists had two operational hubs: Hamilton, New Jersey and Delray, Florida. Anthrax was found in both areas.

JUST COINCIDENCES??

- The wife of the Sun tabloid's editor rented two apartments to two hijackers In Florida.
http://www.sptimes.com/News/101501/Worldandnation/Hijackers_linked_to_t.shtml

- The intials of the ringleader, A-T-T-A, are highlighted in letter 3a (Brokaw).

- Marwan al-Shehhi went to Huber Drugs (with Atta) with severe chest congestion.
The pharmacist sold him a bottle of Robitussin initially, and later antibiotics.

Thanks! Lots of interesting facts.

The reference to the Czech video is that the (2d) Prague meeting which has been disputed and debunked by the 911 committee?

We had a long discussion about that on a thread initiated by an article by Epstein a few months back. (Search: Epstein, Prague, Atta and you'll find it.) The jury is still out on that one...

Anyway thanks for the info. You are a real...............peach

No...not what I heard, although I had to leave before the end of the show because I had a doctor's appointment. I listened in my car but not at the doctor's office.

It was a good show though, he had Jed Babbin on for almost an hour.

I am glad to see Greg isn't going to let Senator Lugar get by with his stupid comment.
