Sinclair Broadcast Group, one the nation's largest broadcasting groups, has instructed its stations to pre-empt their regular programming just days before the upcoming presidential election to air the anti-Kerry documentary "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal."
Folks, this might as well be an October suprise! Everyone is going to know all about Kerry's anti-War activities now!

I thought you were telling rwfromkansas that it "looks that way" that "Sinclair will not cave and pull their order".
I'm glad I misunderstood!

Matt Drudge should post the info on this on the drudge report!
The best way to get people to watch this documentary will be if a big media hype over whether or not it should be seen is started by the Kerry camp, just like they did with the swifties.

I'm in Ohio. I sure hope it's shown up in the Cleveland area, but would not expect our left leaning Plain Dealer to print anything about it. This should be interesting. I've also heard that M. Moore is going to be showing his lying movie right before the elections.

"It's time for George Soros to make a tender offer for Sinclair"
The stupidity of DUmmies never ceases to amaze me. Every swinging Richard over there is a campaign expert. Did you know that? Every single one, from top to bottom could run Kerry's campaign and have him 5 points up in a week...if only he would do what they say.
And I guess that would be fun, but just not exciting enough for them I guess...because now, they are experts at how to spend Soros' money....just amazing that there's all that talent there and probably half of them don't work...well, would you take a $12/hour job if you were as brilliant as they are? C'mon!! Get Real!!

I don't think the argument that Sinclair is unfairly trying to influence the election will fly because of this: Tonight at my local grocery store here in Phoenix, AZ, I saw for the first time a large display filled with videos of "Fahrenheit 9/11." Evidently Moore and his backers have just released the video and DVD versions of his vile, trashy film. What a coincidence that the DVD and video are released on October 9th. So if Moore can play his propaganda film in the theaters for four months and then release the video and DVD 24 days before the election, then what's wrong with Sinclair playing Stolen Honor on TV a week before the election? This is such hypocrisy by people claiming this is unfair. Where are the critics of Sinclair as the fat slob Moore rolls around the country playing his propaganda film at colleges? Sinclair has every right to play this documentary, which certainly will be factually and historically accurate (unlike Moore's trashy propaganda film.)

I'm glad I misunderstood and regret that Sinclair is not my cable company.
Should we let them know we appreciate what they're doing or should we not say anything and just let it go, hoping that the left will not turn their unrighteous anger on Sinclair for daring to expose JForbesK?

Statement of Sinclair Broadcast Group
The ABC Television Network announced on Tuesday that the Friday, April 30 edition of Nightline will consist entirely of Ted Koppel reading aloud the names of U.S. servicemen and women killed in action in Iraq. Despite the denials by a spokeswoman for the show, the action appears to be motivated by a political agenda designed to undermine the efforts of the United States in Iraq.
There is no organization that holds the members of our military and those soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in service of our country in higher regard than Sinclair Broadcast Group. While Sinclair would support an honest effort to honor the memory of these brave soldiers, we do not believe that is what Nightline is doing. Rather, Mr. Koppel and Nightline are hiding behind this so-called tribute in an effort to highlight only one aspect of the war effort and in doing so to influence public opinion against the military action in Iraq. Based on published reports, we are aware of the spouse of one soldier who died in Iraq who opposes the reading of her husbands name to oppose our military action. We suspect she is not alone in this viewpoint. As a result, we have decided to preempt the broadcast of Nightline this Friday on each of our stations which air ABC programming.
We understand that our decision in this matter may be questioned by some. Before you judge our decision, however, we would ask that you first question Mr. Koppel as to why he chose to read the names of 523 troops killed in combat in Iraq, rather than the names of the thousands of private citizens killed in terrorist attacks since and including the events of September 11, 2001. In his answer, we believe you will find the real motivation behind his action scheduled for this Friday. Unfortunately, we may never know for sure because Mr. Koppel has refused repeated requests from Sinclairs News Central news organization to comment on this Fridays program

Is it possible that this film will carry footage of Kerry urinating on an American flag, as Bob Dornan claims (to exist)?
I bet this is true.

Soros wont give a FLIP about doing anything as soon as the election is over, UNLESS its paying someone to do something terrible to our President....I worry about that all the time....that is "their" only alternative if things keep looking great for Pres Bush.....
but if thats not the case, he'll be done with his campaign to help Kerry and thats all it is.....he's his neighbor..

There is rumor that Moore is going to have Fahrenheit 911 shown across the country on TV as well the day before the election! His will be on pay per view if it happens at all.
I am not sure of the Sinclair presentation. I did not read it all.
