I've heard Karl Rove quoted that the Bush Campaign would have a "few October surprises." And I'm certain the democrats are planning one or more. Would this be a good time for educated guesses/ wild fantasies on what might happen during the next three weeks, and exactly when?
Wasn't Larry Flynt supposed to publish a story about Bush paying for an abortion right before the election? And it's hard for me to picture republicans doing an October surprise beyond a Schwarzeneger campaign appearance or something like that.
Just guessing Bush and Rove strategery: Bush was in the debates running a bit weak on Iraq and the WOT while he was strong on economic and other domestic issues. Suppose he is letting Kerry "invest in a losing hand" on Iraq and we will see some news vindicating W on Iraq. Bush could have decimated Kerry with lines like "we're fighting a war on terror, not on just the 911 perps." "Our purpose in Afganistan was to close the training camps and shut down the Taliban in the process." etc. But Bush is keeping Kerry in the game, for the final kill.
Unfortunately, I think that's the only thing the Swifties could conceivably come up with that would get them any traction. The old media has decreed that the Swifties are yesterday's news, and even the alternative media are pretty much ignoring them now. Shameful.
If there are any October Surprises I hope they have the lastnames - Zawahiri, Zawqari, and Bin Laden.
swifties are filming their last two ads this weekend. O'Neill said they saved the best for last.
Osama Bin Laden will be captured or brought out from under wraps and will be paraded down Broadway in New York in a circus wagon cage. New York will think that it was a nice show, but will cast their electoral votes for Kerry.

1) Teresa Heinz-Kerry goes on a pill-popping, five day drunk where she streaks across the country, landing in Grand Central Station with a tattoo across her forehead that reads, "I'm with Johnny."
2) Osama bin Laden turns out to have been a client of the Rose Law Firm. We capture him, and they demand to be his counsel.
3) Michael Moore has a conversion to Christianity and comes clean on TBN about his former life of lies and deception.
4) The Sopranos pay a little visit to Al-Zarqawi and keep their heads uncovered as he receives a little vigilante justice...(I was going to say Marines, but then we'd have another Abu Ghraib.)
5) CBS fires Dan Rather for high crimes and misdemeanors.
6) Because they let Teresa out of the house unguarded and because of her subsequent streaking spree, John Kerry fires all of their house staff, thus elevating the unemployment rates in D.C., Colorado, and Massachusetts. As a result of their firing, the relieved staff hold a press conference to talk about "the real John and Teresa."
and finally...
7) Fox News has breaking footage on Halloween of Kerry and Edwards dancing naked around a bonfire, beating bongos, and finding their "hairy man" ala Iron John. They announce that they have divorced their wives and are now living happily together on Nantucket with Edwards' millions -- and brand new manservants.
It could just be remark to keep Demoncraps off balance.
I sure hope the Swifties do something better than the rumored film of Kerry burning and p^ssing on the flag.
I understand CBS has obtained the library notifications via a childhood friend that pulled them out of his bedroom wastebasket.

And when did being a traitor to one's country stop being a crime? I read the transcripts and Kerry should be running. Just not for POTUS. Where's the outrage? Guess I'm just an old fashioned doof. It's depressing.
