That was a major blunder on Kerry's part.

Another I think will hurt him is his answer to abortion. That may fire up his base, but there are a number of Democrats that aren't too happy right now at the thought Kerry doesn't believe they should be notified their daughter was raped and pregnant, before having an abortion.

The woman who asked the question came off vulnerable, genuine and concerned. Kerry appeared condecending in return.

I missed the intro to the dabate. Enjoyed the NPR audio (amazing!) where Gibson talked about only Bush coming 'bounding out' and for a moment he (Gibson) was worried that he would have to debate Bush. I will try to see on replay.

Even if this guy's contribution to the RNC were not made to cover his butt, swing voters do NOT give money to either party. They're swing voters. They are not that engaged. And they aren't going to part with their money over politics. Companies spread the wealth so they don't end up on the outside looking in when regulation time comes.

For the life of me, I cannot see how one can be "undecided". Perhaps these are the "Kerry haters for Kerry" that the WSJ wrote about last week.

I was undecided in 2000 really until the NRA rally, and I still was only 75% sure until I voted.

It was between Bush and Harry Browne the Libertarian. I voted for Bush.

I believe the wealth all derives from his various wives.

On his own, he's always been a gubmint employee, of some type. Navy, attorney for city/county, Taxxachusettes vice-gubernator, US of A sinator.

His high standard of living has always accrued from his wives' dead former husbands.

"The reason he gave was that Bush was more "personable." He also said that Kerry blundered when he said that only 3 people in the room made $200,000/year. He said that Kerry had made that assumption based on the appearance of the audience and the location of the debate. Dahle found that condescending."

BINGO! That's what we have been talking about here on FR all day. It was insulting, and it will cost Kerry votes.

He's a liberal producer/writer and a commentator for NPR with a long history of anti-Bush, anti-Repubican comments. I nailed NPR when I showed them from their own archives his anti-Republican statements. He is not all that thrilled with a lot of the DNC but there is no doubt who he goes to bed with at the end of the day.

Remember we were hard on Baker was nuts for agreeing to 3 debates? We owe him an apology. Believe me, he's my senator, the more you know about him the less you like him. That is why he usually stays out of town.
For your uncommitted voter friends, ask them if they would voter for someone, who used his influence to have the city move a fire hydrant from in front of his home to in front of his neighbors home and have the nerve to have the city pay for it. The move added an estimated 500K to the value of his home while reducing the value of the neighbors home by the same amount.

I found that very presumptuous and condescending as well. It reminded me of a time when I went to Charles Jourdan to possibly make a purchase, I made the mistake of not dressing well (leggings, t-shirt and sneakers), and was treated very snobbily by the jerk salespeople!

I know of 1 or 2 "undecided" types. I asked them why and they said it was becasue they didn't know much about Kerry and are just starting to hear what he is like. They don't like it. I guess there are some people that just don't pay attention to the election until the last minute.

Kerry blundered when he said that only 3 people in the room made $200,000/year.

More then that how many in that room hope to made $200,000/year or more some day... and not by marrying it

His tax increase doesn't include himself,he doesn't make $200,000 a year. No congressman does, I should say he doesn't EARN $200,000 a year

He has not showed up for his job, not even his committee meetings. He gets paid for doing nothing.

He said that Kerry had made that assumption based on the appearance of the audience and the location of the debate. Dahle found that condescending...exactly so - told everyone in the audience they were just poor peasants, not nearly in the same elite class as himself - then he ratcheted the condescention up big time by telling the lady who asked the abortion question how "I can't find the words to tell you how much I respect your position on that" - what a supercilious fraud.......

Funny, I have a good friend that I had known closely for several years before I found out (from someone else) is worth millions.

I bet Kerry would think he was homeless because he doesn't have a Boston accent!

I was not able to watch the 2nd debate but I caught the last 15 minutes of it on the radio on NPR (shocker!!) and to my great surprise one commentator actually said that Bush did VERY WELL!!

It was a good thing I was sitting down....

This is absolutely right. Living in New Jersey, it's always angered me that national politicians like Kerry and Clinton equate 200,000 dollars a year with being rich. Being "rich" is dependent on where you live! What I paid in property taxes, insurance and the like in Ohio was literally thousands of dollars less than in Jersey.

I can't believe that the Republicans haven't gotten any seeming traction from Kerry's lavish lifestyle! Can you imagine if Kerry were a Republican with all this money?

It would have to be ignorance. If you don't read a paper or a magazine or watch tv, you would be politically ignorant.

If you want to be considered a responsible citizen you must vote. If you are ignorant and don't want to vote randomly, in October you must begin a crash process of education.

Sounds incredible but the majority of this group don't make the effort to vote and construct excuses for their laziness.
