Swing Voters Swinging

We now know of at least one undecided voter who decided to vote for Bush after the debate.

Robin Dahle, who asked President Bush the first question yesterday, was just on NPR's Weekend America. Dahle is on about 3:40 into the audio (courtesy of KUOW.)

Dahle said that, before the debate, there was a 40 percent chance he'd vote for President Bush. He's now 80-90 percent sure of his vote, although not 100 percent.

The reason he gave was that Bush was more "personable." He also said that Kerry blundered when he said that only 3 people in the room made $200,000/year. He said that Kerry had made that assumption based on the appearance of the audience and the location of the debate. Dahle found that condescending.

An intelligent "undecided" voter.

For the life of me, I cannot see how one can be "undecided". Perhaps these are the "Kerry haters for Kerry" that the WSJ wrote about last week.

Dahle found that condescending

You think? 80% of the people in the room would like to make $200,000. The other 20% want to save the whales or hate America for it's racist policy and warmongering.

Given the type of snooty people with whom John Kerry associates, I'm not surprised he might even think the people in the audience weren't homeless.

I'm glad that was on NPR. It has a nationwide audience of rational (albeit liberal) listeners who need that comment (Kerry is condescending) burned into their brain.

This is the statement that is really going to put a fork in him. I knew it when he said it. The man just cannot help himself, he is an arrogant, egotistical elitist. He cannot relate to the people in this country, and in turn they will not relate to him.

Kerry thinks if you live in "dirtsville" you probably have never even seen a $100 bill.

What an elitest chump...so much for the party of the working man.

I found the $200K comment incredibly condescending and arrogant.

I am greatful for every vote that is garnered for our President. It is a shame however when the reason is that he is "personable." Yes, he is personable. But, he also has the leadership qualities and abilities to run this country. Too bad young Robin didn't catch that part... though I am thankful for his vote.

I don't know how you can be both intelligent and undecided. The two candidates are worlds apart on the issues. So what about style. However, if you are going to vote style, Bush should easily beat angry, condescending Kerry.

IMO the $200K blunder was incredibly arrogant and revealing of Kerry's out-of-touch world view.

Poll shows Bush won the debate by a stunning two-to-one margin!
"Almost no one on either side gave the win to the candidate they opposed," reports ABC News about its post-debate polling. Here's the relevant ABC chart, highlighted at Volokh Conspiracy, where the take is: "When asked to name the debate winner, participants from each side remained true to their team." But don't give up on the search for the spin so quickly, Bush supporters. I offer this:

Despite an overwhelming tendency to declare one's preferred candidate the winner of last night's debate, there were twice as many Kerry supporters who thought Bush won as Bush supporters who thought Kerry won. If you exclude those who chose their own candidate as the winner, along with those who saw the debate as a draw, the poll declares Bush the winner by a stunning two-to-one margin!

NPR had this 'swing voter' segment going. Lots of feedback when he outed on 9/17 for being a Kerry contributer. On his 9/24 show he said he was also a RNC supporter but was outed as not being on the database. The Ombudsman also made a response. Later, the Ombudsman told me that he had donated $100 twice to the RNC and the $100 would not show up on the database. I said, how convenient! Now will you answer the rest of the question: Where and When. No response but John Ridley has not been back on. The 'absent' period includes the Cheney debate so it looks like he was pulled.

I found the $200K comment incredibly condescending and arrogant.

"Now, for the people earning more than $200,000 a year, you're going to see a rollback to the level we were at with Bill Clinton, when people made a lot of money.

And looking around here, at this group here, I suspect there are only three people here who are going to be affected: the president, me, and, Charlie, I'm sorry, you too. "

There never has been a more arrogant SOB running for president than Jon Querri.

These debates are costing him votes, the braggarts boorish behavior is an amazing thing to behold.

Sorry for the confusion.

I AM NOT UNDECIDED!!!

I was trying to say that undecided might mean Kerry Hater (potentially) for Kerry.
