Sheriff Ken Jenne criticized over demoting two supervisors (For Daring To Be Honest)

Broward Sheriff Ken Jenne sent a chilling message to deputies who want to warn him about problems in the agency when he demoted two veteran supervisors this week, an attorney representing one of the men said Friday.

"This appears to be an effort by the sheriff to stifle information from getting to the sheriff," said Hilliard Moldof, the attorney for Roy Vrchota Jr.

"The sheriff believes no employee has ever felt that they can't speak to him," said Stopnick. "But there is a time and a place to bring up policy issues and that should be done through the chain of command."

Translation: "Sheriff Ken-Ken believes no employee has ever felt they can't speak to him but if they ever try to then their career will be flushed down the toilet."

Sheriff Ken-Ken isn't even a REAL law enforcement officer. He is just a politician playing Sheriff. Physically he could never be a Broward Sheriff since he stands barely 5 feet tall. BTW, Sheriff Ken-Ken seems to find it a physical impossibility to break out in a real smile. I saw his recent campaign photo and it looked just like a snarl that he was unsuccessfully trying to manipulate into a smile. Take a look for yourself at Sheriff Ken-Ken's photo here. The guy was born with a perpetual sneer on his face.

These men did the right thing in speaking out.
Terrible mistake not sending the SWAT team on this one. With the information they had on this fellow, they should have known better.
I really hope the unfair demotions of these men can be reversed.

Sheriff Ken-Ken is the one who needs to be demoted. He is a real mental case. I think his inability to smile is reflective of a DEEP self-hatred. I was actually amazed by his campaign photo. I mean the guy had HOURS if he needed them to work up a normal smile but he still couldn't do it. Maybe I can find Sheriff Ken-Ken's official campaign photo on the Web. As I stated above, it looked like a snarl struggling desperately to work itself into a smile.

The first time I saw Sheriff Ken-Ken in person was a few years ago during a July 4 parade. Sheriff Ken-Ken, looking like a tiny bowling ball perched atop a big horsie, was desperately trying to keep from falling off. Even more funny than that sight was watching the Sheriff's Deputies accompanying him on horseback, trying VERY VERY hard not to break out laughing at Sheriff Ken-Ken. It was like that scene in the principal's office in Porky's when the female coach was trying to describe some kid's tallywhacker. She was dead serious but the male coach was DESPERATELY trying to keep from laughing. Remember that? If you do, then you can picture the scene of vertically challenged Sheriff Ken-Ken trying to keep from falling off his horsie while his deputies were struggling to keep straight faces.

There aren't many jobs where, when you speak to your superior through a lawyer, you won't get demoted.

I don't follow his career much but I've never liked the POS. South Florida politics attracts mutants like him and Janet Reno that would lose running for dog catcher in normal places like Ohio and Utah. And don't forget Donna Shalala. The Clinton era mutant is running the University of Miami. She had no previous ties to South Florida.

One thing positive Jenne has done recently is clean up crime statistics reported by his office. Just about every police force in South Florida fudges their statistics to make them lower (from political pressure, no doubt). How is it that an arm pit like Hialeah can have crime stats one third lower than the national average?

.....Except for Janet Reno's interior carpeting.

A little name dropping here but when I lived in La-La Land I actually knew Chuck Mitchell who portrayed Porky in that movie. He was a Yankee but observed rednecks out in the Florida sticks many years earlier and that was how he developed the character of Porky. It was a FANTASTIC acting job. One of my all-time favorite flicks (and let us not mention the HORRIBLE sequels).

1. Hialeah is filled with old people.

2. Unless you live near the beach, most of the tri-county area (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) is a sleazy armpit.

Sheriff Ken Ken, the wannabe "Mayor of Broward County," is only where he is because the senile old NY transplanted coots that still dominate Broward politics would vote for Hitler if he ran as a Democrat.

The scene in the principal's office in "Porky's" may be the funniest ever captured on celluloid. It took me a half hour for my sides to stop hurting. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Isn't this the dumbass sheriff who was for the Assault Weapons Ban? Pretty sure it was. He was on a local channel spraying concrete blocks with an automatic weapon (think it was an AK) and saying that if the AWB lapsed these types of weapons would be back on the street.

Total RAT lie.

I wonder how much of that was scripted and how much of that was improvised? It was a great scene. Plus it looked VERY REAL. I liked how the strait-laced principal finally broke down laughing.
