With more than 70 percent of votes tallied, Howard appeared likely to increase his government's majority in parliament exceeding most analysts' predictions that the result would be very tight. To all you hand wringers out there about the polls, whining how close the election will be....

If Latham would have won, it would have headlined every MS newspaper. Funny how Howard's win is practically being reported in a whisper. What else is new?

Kerry's sister was actually down there bad-mouthing Howard ala American Democrat Party-style. Australians didn't buy her phony scare tactics. Nor will American voters next month.

In Australia the loser concedes with diginity and DOESN'T go looking for a thousand lawyers to find hanging chads. Congratulations to PM Howard and the Australian people.

As goes Australia...so goes America.
No gloom and doom here....polls told a different story. And Howard wins by a huge margin. Is this great or what?
Bush will win by a landslide.

Way to go, Mr. Howard!!
So much for Jean alQuery's sister trying to scare the Aussies into voting Mr. Howard out of office. She may need to get back here and try to help her brother at home! He's gonna need all the help he can get in the next three weeks!

Looks like Howard's coalition government extended its power while Labor and the Greens lost ground. Interesting development considering how one Aussy news agency I followed predicted that the Greens would increase in power.
Lesson to us here in US: Don't listen to MSM because they're RATHER influenced by the DNC.

At the polls, a man in line said to the prime minister: "Mr. Howard, if you win, I'm moving to Europe."
There's hope! Maybe liberals of the world will all end up in France!
