BUSH-KERRY DEBATE? John Wayne dealing with a horse thief? Dad taking Junior to the woodshed?

Let's put the St Louis debate in the language of the popular culture. WHo did Bush and Kerry remind you of?

John Wayne dealing with a horse thief?

Dad taking Junior to the woodshed?

Ward Cleaver and Beaver?

James Bond and Mini-me?

A four-star general whipping a raw recruit into shape?

I was reminded of a line from Blazing Saddles:

"How about a nice round of applause for the Waco Kid?"

I watched only around 30 seconds of it. Decided I would read it in print later, and I'm glad I did it that way. It was much more enjoyable.

But in the few moments I heard, I immediately thought Kerry sounded remarkably like my old liberal college professors, sitting on high while they lectured us lowly plebians.

I thought right away, he's not going to get anywhere with that snobby know-it-all stuff. I can't be the only one thinking it sounded like he was talking down to the audience either.

So I will say a college professor vs. the regular guy next door.

For many reasons, one in particular because JFKerry looks like and sounds like a "giant".
