I was the forward observer inside the Duval Democrat Del love fest.
Points:
..They said they had invited the Freepers inside.
..The communications director asked if I had a picture on my tshirt (she saw me showing the freepers on the street). I said yes, she asked what it was. I said "our Commander in Chief". She said, "Who's that?". I said, "Our Commander in Chief".
..DS said (again) that Oneill was called "John Wayne Oneill" because he had shot up another swift boat. Also that he was a liar. (Does anyone notice that Del Sandusky's initials also stand for 'dumb shi.?"
..The local comittee head asked me if I could leave after DS talk because they were going to have a 'private' meeting. (The freepers were causing a "Dangerous situation")
..When the dems began complaining about the Noise out on the street, I asked about the takeovers and shootings at the Bush sites.
.. After the 5th time of DS referring to Bush as a reservist and Kerry a hero, I asked him if he thought the Guard and reserves in Iraq were cowards, He said they weren't trained for combat and were getting killed by terrorists.
..He DIDN'T say " I saved John Kerry's life, and he saved mine", A common phrase of his.
..When a gal asked about Bush starting the draft, I said "If you want a draft, elect John Kerry. You'll see the largest exodus in the armed forces since Clinton."
This started the commotion thet lead to my being kicked out. The comittee chairman was very polite, but there were about 20 folks SCREAMING.
One guy was up against my chest screaming "We'll defend this country!" I said I had defended it for 23 years. He said he joined at age 17, and I said he had me beat by a year! He wouldn't answer when I asked how long he had served.
There was a lot of responsive horn honking outside for our fellow freepers.

First, that's a slander right out of the box. These guys can hang, baby, their training is fine. I've got a few Guard guys handy to take him out behind the woodshed if you can get his sorry ass to Illinois.
Second, here come all the old Vietnam lies again...the enemy is overmatching us on tactics, the people we're defending won't fight for themselves, the host government is corrupt/a puppet (That one's true for Vietnam, but not this time out), only the poor and minorities are fighting...blah, blah, crap.

Sounds like the same type crowd we encountered in Gainesville 6 weeks ago: BUSH HATERS, GREEDY GEEZERS, don't want to be confused with the FACTS! In a word: CBS NEWS target audience!
