Let's Roll.
Would be interesting to see a pic of what makes FR go.
Server room and whatnot.
That's not true.
President Bush needs to hold Kerry accountable for his record in a forceful, but nonthreatening way. We need to hear the word "liberal" about 20 times tonight.
The "Voice Of The Reader" editor called a half hour later asking if that was my letter, and I told him it was, and he said "OK, but the debate starts at 7pm", and I said, "I know, I'm just following what the DNC told me to do".
Thanks but Emeril gets on my nerves these days. I prefer "30 Minute Meals", "Barefoot Contessa" and "Everyday Italian". Switched from MSNBC to CNN and Madeline Notsobright was on. C-span now showing a pre-debate show.
Systems BUMP!!
Thanks John.
You go BigSky! If I need to be freeping polls someone better tell me now.
Finally, I am able to get here. It feels good to be among friends.
Mr. President, do not hold back tonight. Crush Kerry now.
I'm here.
Feeling that nervous feeling I always did before one of my kid's big games.
GO PRESIDENT BUSH, MAKE KERRY LOOK LIKE THE FOOL THAT HE IS!
You never played baseball, Jose?
****IS THIS GOING TO BE THE LIVE THREAD FOR THE DEBATE????****
Does it mean he has had cancer? I would like to know for sure myself.
doesnt it though? ;^)
From http://jaycost.blogspot.com/. "This is what has happened in the last week..."
3. This does not mean, however, that it is Kerry's race to win. It remains the president's to win, as is evidence by the EV battleground (5 blue states, 3 red states), his job approval (above 50%) and his standing nationwide (again, Bush +2%), his final weapon against Kerry ("more lefty than Teddy"). That Dubya did not fall behind Kerry in the average of the polls says a lot about the stability of the race. His job now is to pull the people who moved toward Kerry away from him, and to solidify his present voting coalition. He can do the latter (which is the minimal task he has for the next month) by not screwing up.
4. This second debate is the best opportunity the president will have to do this first task. However, if he bombs at the debate, do not expect his lead to shrink. He "bombed" last week, and he still holds a lead. Thus, his voters are still voting for him, regardless of how he performs. Screwing up the debates is not the kind of screw-up that will cost him the election. Similarly, Kerry has already gotten as many extra voters as he can from performing well. It is unlikely that the race will shift toward Kerry as a result of this debate.
I am nervous too, hoping W let's Kerry have it tonight! He cannot just be nice!!!
GO W!
I'm just waiting to hear Kerry say "We can do better" about fifty times tonight without once explaining how he can do better.
Can you like bookmark once you open a post up - like the live thread? Will it(the thread) open from there?
just wondering -
An internal memo written by ABCNEWS Political Director Mark Halperin admonishes ABC staff: During coverage of Democrat Kerry and Republican Bush not to "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable."
The controversial internal memo, obtained by DRUDGE, captures Halperin stating how "Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win."
Halperin claims that Bush is using "distortions" to capture victory.
Here is the rest on Drudge.
"The current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done," Halperin writes.
Halperin's claim that ABCNEWS will not "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable" set off a sparks in St. Louis where media players gathered to cover the second presidential debate.
Well, he knows his bags, that's for sure.
